Imperia Italian Pasta Maker Gift Set, Silver – Includes Pasta Machine, Ravioli Mold, Roller & Cutter Attachments

Bought this a month ago after taking a pasta class at cooking school, and have been using it once or twice a week since with great glee! It's incredibly solid construction, easy to use and reliable, and the extra cutting attachments fit cleanly onto the main roller unit. While I initially scoffed at the small size of the rolling pin included, I soon realised that it was clearly by design as anything larger would be pointless when initially rolling out the dough to first put through the machine. The included ravioli tray is a bit light, and the holes themselves are (in my opinion and experience) too small for properly tasty ravioli, but it's a minor detail, and one easily remedied by the use of the mouth of a white wine glass to cut larger circles from the rolled pasta instead.I've since learned that Imperia is the brand of choice of most of my chefs-professors (who are themselves Italian), which is a nice endorsement. Highly recommended....

Really good quality item! Very heavy and well made with interchangeable 'rollers'. I bought his for a gift and chose this brand because you can easily buy add-ons for it at major home stores as well as amazon. Amazon had the best deal on at the time and I got it at a price that was unbeatable. The only problem I did have was, due to the weight, the cardboard inserts had been damaged by the components in transit. as it was a gift I messaged Amazon who changed it without hesitation. If it had been for me I wouldn't have bothered. I have had a recommendation from a friend that this machine is not only good for pasta but also for rolling fondant icing for cake making!

When it arrived, I was not easily able to turn the adjuster knob to/from position 6. I am not sure if it was damaged in transit or there was a quality control problem, but there was certainly an unequal gap under the adjustment knob so it would catch on the side panel. Given the current ordering delays etc. and because it was a simple fix, I decided to correct that by using a thin sheet of 400 grit sandpaper on the base of the adjuster to increase the gap to the side panel. Once that was done the adjuster now rotates quite freely and the rest of the machine works as expected.Had it not been for that, this would have received 5 stars.

Just run a small amount of dough each time before starting, it cleans the rollers. Have stopped buying pasta and noodles as it is a doddle to make. I was so covered with flour though. Did not have a drying rack 1st time I used it but hey, tea towel and hangers did the job. Top tip; remember to wait for the pasta sheets to dry before running them through the shape cutters. This will produce semi hardened pasta that will not stick so much. Have fun!

Not too bad does the job. Got the hang of it and rolling out some good sheets. Just two little faults1. Handle does not lock in and you have concentrate on it as it just falls out. So you have to push and turn at the same time.2. Also the clamp is not very firm on a work surface and it has to be tight to stop machine moving about. Because it has only a small tab screw this is not that easy to do.

I have owned a cheaper make pasta machine in the past and it never felt as nice as this machine and then started spitting out little bits of metal from the gearing - so I invested in this. Absolutely worth it.As with all pasta machines it is very easy to use but this one (Imperia) has quality oozing out of every pore.It you think you might occasionally make some pasta buy a cheap machine, if you are going to do it regularly (say, every week) get a quality machine like this one

Not even worth one star but system won't accept review without at least one. Box badly damaged. Cardboard sleeve torn and badly worn. Polystyrene inner packaging crumbling and broken, therefore useless. Pasta maker was dirty and had clearly been used. Clamp missing. Instruction booklet torn and tatty. Disgusted with this product. As it was intended as a gift I had no time to return it for a replacement. Bought alternative machine from a shop. This will go to the charity shop after I have cleaned it.
