works well, it is a good value for the money. I got a new computer which mostly runs with USB-C inputs and I still have lots of notebook external hard drives that use the typical usb cable, and I didn't want to use an adaptor etc.. This is for sure a life saver, and using the cable now my hard drives can transfer at USB-C speed. I have had no connection issues. No mystery on how to use or install, you just plug 1 end to the hard drive and the other to the pc/ Mac. My Mac had no issue detecting the hard drive when using this cable. One thing I would change was maybe had gotten this a bit longer, the table is a good length but could have even about 1ft longer. Far as aesthetics, it is a nice well designed cable, If you still gotta connect it to the traditional usb input, it has an adaptor at the end of it

I have narrowed acceptable cable and cable-related products to two manufacturers. AINOPE products are well constructed and perform well. I have yet to have had any problem with their cables or adapters.

Bonus is having alternate plug head attached to cable is like getting two plug connectors in one. Like those similar items you find at Walmart.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have an older computer that has USB A ports. I have a newer computer that has USB C ports. My hard drive is used on both computers. Swapping and storing cables or adapters was a pain. This cable easily makes swapping computers easy with less parts.

Had this for a while now & is still working. No issues. Good price. Cool color. I wish it was longer .
