Does this cable do just ordinary telephone cable

Neither end of this cable has a standard BT connector. These cables are commonly used with business phone systems and can't be used to connect a phone to a standard BT phone socket.

What can I say - it is a good quality cable at a reasonable price, and it works as expected. I have not noticed any problems with it. It works just as good as one of those needlessly expensive cables costing several times the price of this.

Single network to distribute analogue and digital signals in a house

This is part of my solution to distribute analogue tel signals around the house through the Cat 5/6 network in a flexible way.I use an RJ11-RJ45 cable on each end of the network segment which I want to use for extending analogue signal to a room.Standard analogue tel line (RJ11 female) -> RJ11-RJ45 cable (male/male) -> Cat5/6 network segment (RJ45 female/female) -> RJ45-RJ11 cable (male/male) -> Analogue telephone equipment (RJ11 female)The incoming tel line can be split with a splitter: RJ11(M)-RJ11(Fx2) when i want the telephone in two rooms.

one came with a telephone end and i wanted the 2 ends the same for internet... and when i plugged it in to the telephone it still didnt work anyway.. just threw it away
