Stylish and warm.
First off, like others here have stated, these run about a half size small. I wear a 9.5, and ordered these in a 10. I'm really glad I did. I wear thick smartwool socks in winter, and if I'd ordered a 9.5, these would not have worked for me.Secondly, I have wide feet, and a few reviewers said these ran too narrow on them. That was not the case with me. These fit my wide feet perfectly! I'm not sure if it's a scaling problem (as most of the reviewers that said this had very short feet to begin with), but these accomodate my feet without any side scrunching, and feel very natural. However, there isn't much in the way of arch support. Plan to pick up a cheap insert if you have high arches. The only real complaint I have about these are that the calf is fairly narrow. They just fit my calves (and I do mean JUST!). If you have thicker than average calves, you may be better looking elsewhere.I went walking through some snow to break them in, and they are indeed warm and waterproof. Though these do lace up, the tongue of the shoe is sewn up above the ankle to ensure everything stays dry. The sherpa at the top of the shoe does not go throughout, but there is a warm padding which I feel is better and gives more room for cozy socks.Overall, I really love these boots. The pictures of the the dark grey are true to life, and the boots look great on.

Timberlands never disappoint
I never buy shoes blindly, I like to see, feel and try them on. With that being said I absolutely love my past Timberlands and decided to trust the brand. I was not disappointed. They are perfect in every way and fit as though they were made for me personally. I ordered them a half size larger so I can wear thick socks inside if I want to and they still fit like a perfect pair of gloves.

They are great! You don't need to wear super thick socks ...
I bought these for winter dog walking and snow shoveling. They are great! You don't need to wear super thick socks with them. I did the first time and came up with sweaty feet and calves. I wear them with thin hiking socks now. They are great in the cold and snow, but not ice. Which I didn't expect them to be. Just wanted to mention that if anyone was looking for something ice friendly. These have great tread and I had no problem trudging throw snow and mud in them. I didn't step in any deep puddles so I can't say a lot about their ability to keep water out. However, I did walk three miles in six inch snow and didn't get any moisture inside. They were a great purchase. I'm very happy with them.

The perfect warm winter boots for Wisconsin
Beautiful, warm boots! I live in northern Wisconsin where you need to keep your feet warm just for everyday activities, but I was tired of clunky, ugly footwear. These were the perfect choice. The gray/brown combo goes with everything and I like that they don't have a lot of fluffy fur like so many boots I looked at. The fit is shoe-like, not heavy or clunky, but there's still room for heavy wool socks when needed. I can comfortably tuck in regular or skinny jeans too. I was a little nervous about lace-up boots, but the speed laces at the top make them fairly easy to take on and off. **Update: Still loving these boots after two seasons of wear. I get lots of compliments on them! I live where Uggs are the standard fare for everyday winter wear, but these are unique.

First impression - love, love and super comfortable
I just received these and have only worn them around the house so far, so I can't comment on how warm or waterproof they are yet. My first thought upon standing after putting on these Timberland's was - they feel like I'm walking on a cloud (or so I imagine that would be). So cushy and not stiff in the least bit. I bought the size I typically wear and the boots are comfortable with a regular sock. I think they might feel a bit snug with a thick ski sock, but hopefully they are warm enough I won't need the thicker socks. I was able to tuck in slightly wide-leg jeans without any problem. I'm petite (size 6.5 shoe) and these boots don't look huge on my feet. They are very cute and will hopefully will pull their weight in the winter!

No size reliability
I purchased the Willowwood Dark Grey in a 7. They looked good but my guess is they were a half size too small. Since they were just not all that attractive to me I returned them and cut my losses so I am not sure if a half size, full size, wider size would have done it. Brands and styles really need to start coming with a size guide you can actually count on. Relying on feedback is too inconsistent to get a reliable account. I called the Timberland company who suggested to always go DOWN a half size when ordering their boots and that would have been the WRONG direction for these. I later ordered their Mount Hope which proved to be a full size too small. I did reorder the Mt. Hope a full size and full witdth up to get those to fit but as you can read in my reviews there, the quality of the show was very disappointing. ...Very frustrating.

Good boots..just one issue
Loved them but there was a small area of leather where the laces start, that I had some seepage...leaked water around my toes. Other than that area, which I think is just a fluke, the boots are very well made & fit just a wee large..I take between a 39 & 40 or 8.5-9.0..I ordered the 40..if I'd reordered, would have gone w/ 39.5.Please give these boots a try, like I said, think mine was just an over site. Hope this helps. May your sky be blue, your pastures, green.

Love these boots
Love these boots! They came earlier than expected and they were just as I had hoped they would be! I'm a size 6.5, but ordered size 7 based on other reviews, which turned out to be a good decision. I think I could have pulled a 6.5 (I have relatively narrow feet), but they might have been too snug. The grey-brown colour is nice and versatile. my calves are about 13 inches around and I can easily wear the boots with leggings or skinny jeans or anything thicker and adjust the shoelaces. I definitely recommend this boot in particular and Timberland boots in general. My last Timberland boots lasted 5 years and I walk A LOT!!

These boots are amazing! I did ignore previous comments and ordered a 5 (I am a 5) but these felt just a bit too snug. I re-ordered a 5.5 and they are great. I have worn them now on several long dog walks and it's like walking in slippers, they're so comfy. Would strongly recommend!!I wrote this review when I got these boots and they have performed very well, however, we have had a snowfall today and I have walked my dog up on the moors, my feet felt chilly whilst I was out and when I got home I discovered they were soaking wet. I have therefore reduced them to 2 stars as fully waterproof should mean fully waterproof!!

awful
These boots are awful, I take a size 2 so I ordered a 3.5 to get a thin sock on and they still was a lot to small. but it was not only that they are awful the style is terrible returned them next day, even my husband said how bad they looked.

These are the most amazing boots I have ever purchased
These are the most amazing boots I have ever purchased. I live in Scotland where there is plenty of rain, sleet and snow. I walk 2.5 miles to work and 2.5 back and needed waterproof, comfy boots to get me there and these are certainly worth the money. They are so cosy too. You still slip on ice but I don't think there is a product available for this. Certainly waterproof. I would highly recommend them.
