Beautiful illustrations
This was my favourite book as a little girl and now that my friends have little ones, I’m buying them all a copy. Such a lovely book and great message. Easy read for kids and they have all enjoyed it so far. Illustrations are great, vibrant and eye catching.

A story about real princess
4yo loves this story as well as I do. The story is for children and adults who are tired of meek princess’. Good example how to be happy.

Fantastic book for kids
Loved this book when my kids were small and have bought it lots of times as a gift for others… funny and breaks the mould a bit without being too miserable

Not your usual Princess tale!
I bought this for my niece and daughter after seeing it read on the Cbeebies Bedtime Story and it's proved very popular (particularly with the Reader/Parents/Teachers).... there are too many sickly sweet stories where the Princess waits for the Prince to rescue her and change her life; this story shows that the Princess is quite happy with her life without interruption from a man! It could be interpreted that I'm some strong-minded feminist but actually I just want my daughter to have a more balanced approach and stories like this assist with that.Girls should be free to make up their own minds. It's also highly entertaining!

bought for my mud and motorbike loving princess
Bought this for my stepdaughter's sixth birthday. She is a self proclaimed princess but also loves playing in the mud, climbing, and helping me fix our motorbikes. She started questioning what is for girls and what is for boys and when I saw this book I had to buy it for her. She is very pleased to hear she can be a princess and also ride a motorbike and marrying gross boys is not required for either! In a world where girls are taught that their priority is being pretty for boys and not thinking for themselves or having fun books like this are a godsend. She loves reading it, thinks the pictures are brilliant and seems to have stopped her worrying whether she's allowed to like mud and motorbikes for now.

Funny, quirky, feminist and fun
I think I loved this book more than the intended recipient. High energy, funny illustrations that tell a different princes story where she doesn't end up marrying the handsome prince and is really quite delighted that she is free and single, living the life she wants for herself, not what is expected of her! Buy it!
