SheaMoisture Three Butters Styling Pomade - 4 oz

Pros:First off, the seller deserves 5 stars for delivering the product exactly as described. As for the product, I would give it 4 stars. I purchased it because I wanted a product that didn't have "extra" products in it that weren't natural. This product feels good and doesn't feel cheap. I've used several products, like Sportin' Waves, SCurl 360, Murray's, etc and the thing I like about this product is that it feels light on your head. I would definitely buy this product again.Cons: The only thing I would say is that it is a little greasy. Not greasy in the sense that it is thick on your hair but more so oily. Also, the scent takes a little to get used to. It smells good, just different. Lastly, I wish I didn't have to pay $9 for pomade when the price point should probably be closer to $5.Update: I love this product still. I don't think I'll be going back to using Sportin' Waves or Murray, etc. Not that those companies/brands haven't been good to me over the years but when you know better, you do better. I feel like my hair is healthier since using this along with the Shea Moisture shampoos. I also know that this doesn't have all of the extra additives that the other "wave" pomades have. With this being more natural, I'm willing to spend $9 to get a better product, although I still say the price point should be a little lower.

I have changed my review based on the second container I purchased. The first one I purchased was buttery smooth and worked well for me. The second container is a grainy awful consistency and unusable as far as I am concerned. I tried to re-homogenize it with no success. Too bad quality control isn't better. I bought two and got one that was usable. That makes it a fail for me. But... on to the good news.The good one worked well for me if applied lightly. I have fine hair with strong cowlicks. If only a little is used it helps tame the cowlicks yet leaves some body. If too much product is used it makes hair greasy and lose body. Using the right amount is crucial. I have a sensitive scalp and some hair products irritate my skin. This is a natural product and does not irritate my scalp. If you are looking for stiff hair or high control this isn't it. Compared to similar hair products it is very affordable. Too bad about the quality control, only one of two usable containers makes it not such a bargain.

Feels grainy in hand but product melts in hands easily and spreads well. A little goes a long way. Smell is cool. will def buy again. 4 stars because it works for laying your hair down but any sweat and it's gone.

This is a product is amazing and very much slept on. All you need is a dime size applied to your hair and watch the transformation happens. This is not only for men but women can use it too. This pomade brings your hair back to health and takes away that dry look you get from other products.

Let me start by saying i really like SheaMoisture as a brand, great quality. This is the only weird experience i have had. So i open the container and it has like sand like* grain in it like an exfoliating face wash. I have no idea how or why it like that but obviously i cant put it in my hair like that. Ill change my rating if that changes. Ok now i did reseach and you have to let it melt in your hand. No where even the SheaMoisture site say that you need to let it melt all the way. Generally No pomades are like that in my experience. You may want to consider making a point in stating that to prevent any more future negative reviews....

The last two times I have ordered this it has been gritty, as though it wasn't properly melted during manufacturing. I have to warm it up in my hands for a long time before use, or risk having a piece of white grit in my hair. I've used this product for many years and it used to be creamy.

If you're looking for a pomade with hold this isn't it. If you're looking for more of a butter with shine and a great smell then this is for you at a great price. WARNING:When I received this from amazon it looked cracked up with a bunch of little balls in it. What I had to do was let it sit and melt, shake it up a little, freeze it, and when I took it out then it looked smooth like it should. Just wanted to mention that so people don't get freaked out at the appearance it may have when they get it.

Delivered quickly, works great, and the smell is good and doesn't last long like some reviews I read were complaining about. Doesn't have as much hold as my normal pomade but my head is less itchy and my hair looks great. I will continue to use this product and order from this company. Thanks
