Great Sound Quality With Handy Conveniences
As a happy owner of the A07 I was interested in getting the A07 Pro for my family. So far I’m quite pleased with the performance of the A07 Pro. It still sounds excellent like its predecessor but with bluetooth and tone controls, I find it more convenient to use than ever.In my listening tests, I found it presents a very full sound, with clear separation, and relatively wide soundstage for the size. Imaging performance was decent too, particularly with some tracks like The Adults Are Talking by The Strokes you can clearly hear the direction of the instruments and vocals.I find the A07 Pro and the A07 to be quite similar acoustically, though I found the A07 Pro’s treble seems a smidge more pronounced. However, overall they are very close and the tone controls on the Pro mean you could easily adjust the sound to your liking.Regarding the Bluetooth, I’m happy to say it is as impressive as the RCA input, to the point where if you didn’t tell me it was Bluetooth I probably would never have guessed. I tested it with my iPhone 12, and at a decently high input volume, this thing rocks (and with decent speakers it obviously beats the pants off of any portable bluetooth speaker). The only potential con you should be aware of is that it doesn’t support the LDAC codec, but it doesn’t matter to me personally and to my ears the Bluetooth already sounds great. One nitpick I have is that I do wish it had a tone control bypass switch. It would make it easier to switch between using the A07 Pro’s tone controls vs an equalizer, and some people just don’t prefer tone controls whether for latency concerns or other possible reasons.Overall though, the A07 Pro is a great little amp. I think Bluetooth makes it very easy to use especially for usage with a laptop or phone, and tone controls are handy to have. It's also worth noting this one comes with a slightly beefier power supply compared to the A07 (36V 6A vs 32V 5A). For the sound quality and added convenience, the A07 Pro is a pretty nice value option and I would definitely recommend it to people who are looking for a great sounding amp, especially for those who want to use it with portable devices. I would particularly recommend it to audio enthusiasts who might be looking to get something high quality for their family who would appreciate the convenience of Bluetooth.

more than adequate power
connected to Magnepan 1.6 speakers. with cd player line out you'd be nuts to raise the volume past 12 o clock. bluetooth connection (which seems to use lossless codec if available on your source) needs a bit more turn on the knob but still plenty of room to get it loud enough. i too like bass/treble with a tactile neutral, but can overlook the lack thereof because playing vinyl pretty much always needs a bit of bass anyway. (with phono preamp needed of course.) would be nice if it had left/right balance especially for a simple setup without other gear, but you can't be too fussy. does not seem to get hot much at all. i do wish they would stop putting these bright blue lights on the front of every piece of electronic gear nowadays. 3.5mm line out may be useful someday... now if this thing could transmit the rca input to another bluetooth device, that would be astounding. but alas, only seems to want to receive.
