This is a sweet story of challenges, love, youth, choices and hope. A story of family and friends that become as important as family. Make the right choices and live your best life.

Hilarious, warm and cozy
This book should come with a 'spit your drink out' trigger warning. So funny, but also such a warm cozy story. You will fall in love with Hope and its citizens. Cal and Ella are so fun to read, and their absolute realness is so refreshing.Do yourself a favor, and read this book. I laughed, I cried, and I felt like Hope was home.5 stars Teagan Hart

Not terrible but too long
Overall I like all the characters, even the supporting characters. Miss Mandie is everything I need in a neighbor. I like small town romances where everyone is involved and plays a part so some parts of it were enjoyable to read it’s just way too long. This was a slower burn than a snail! This is supposed to be a holiday romance but it felt like fiction with a hint of romance. Literally the first kiss was page 393, it blew up on them by 429, ended on 514. That whole 36 pages of romance was one day 🤦🏽♀️ That means there were 392 pages of groundhogs day with their morning huddle then trudging around town to cover the activities.Things I liked; All the names Ella and Cal had for their thoughts, I just liked how cheeky it was!The element of the Clarence mysteryThe small town, everyone in your business feelThings I didn’t like:Way too long!Clarence mystery wrapped up too easilyFor it to be romance they barely actually even flirted with each other. This is not a terrible read at all but I wouldn’t read it again.

Too much small town, not enough slow burn
This story was cute for Christmas, and had the opportunity to be a fun enemies-to-lovers rom-com but it honestly just started to drag on way too long. It seemed like even the author and editors got tired of it in the end because there were a lot more grammatical errors and typos towards the final chapters. The prank war in the beginning was entertaining but then it was over too fast. The middle of the book started to drag on in a seemingly endless will-they-won’t-they loop with an excess of quirky small town Christmas antics thrown in. I eventually found myself just trying to get to the end. The romance took too long to build and when the couple finally gets together I didn’t even realize they were mid-hanky-panky until the climax. I really wanted to like this one, and there were a lot of parts I enjoyed, but I think I’m more satisfied that it’s over than Ella was at the end of the one steamy scene. If you like a slow burn romance smothered in Stars Hollow Christmas whimsy, then this is the book for you.

Cute holiday read
This is a new author for me. It is slow on steam but fantastic on color, development of the main characters as well a interaction between surrounding characters. I also could relate to the humor and sarcasm. 😊

Multiple POV Romantic Comedy Masterpiece
This book was filled with the best of moments. Moments of happiness, laughter, passion, and romance. Also, moments of anger, frustration, and some cringe worthy second-hand embarrassment. To me, as a reader, experiencing all those moments is what made this story feel so real. Teagan Hart brought all of that to the table and so much more. The world building of Hope Island and all of the character development was spot on. This is well worth your time to read.

Love in a small town
Sometimes we don't appreciate what we have until an outsider open 's their eyes, to what they do have. A humorous love story.

Do I Stay or Do I Go?
Ella and Cal are a great couple. Cal helps Ella see her hometown through his eyes. The side characters bring lots of laughs and support to Ella and Cal. You can almost see Hope in your mind's eye with the descriptive writing. Onward to Book Two!

Lovely small whacky town romance!
Loved this book! Enemies to lovers is my favorite troupe and this is such a fun intro to this series.Quirky characters, lovable town, adult pranking, sassy banter, adorable descriptions - this book has it all. The side characters are fun, funny or downright ridiculous. For a 1st time novel, the author sure writes like a pro!The best part of this book for me was the pace - not once did I feel a lull or dip in the tempo. I wanted to keep going forward to know what happens next. Right from the start until the end, the pace is fast and sure. Also the lead characters - Ella and Cal were so relatable. Both have their own demons to battle, have internal conflicts (which I have to say the author has delivered with absolute hilarity!) And none of the scenes are dragged or stretched to the point boredom. It's like everything is finished exactly as it should be and in perfect order!Definitely recommend! And i cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series!

Slow burning
This was definitely a slow burn and while I was hooked right away, I felt a bit lost about halfway in. It just felt like we were at this Ella and Cal standstill and I just needed more than clandestine glances and passing lustful thoughts. But I pushed through because I wanted the resolution. I wanted to see Cal and Ella win. I needed the end of Clarence's story. So im glad I pushed on because I truly did love where the journey took us. And Hope sounds like THE most fun place to be. All those events, seaside Island of a small-town, quirky townsfolk. I just love the premise of it.
