Philips stereo over-ear headphones SHP1900/10 Hi-Fi headphones with cable (adjustable headband, large earpieces, lightweight design, 2-m cable) black

I use these for listening to music at work. It doesn't entirely block sound out (well unless it's full volume), but it's just the job well enough, so that i can listening to music whilst I get on with work in an environment that can get a little loud at times (open plan office). Long wire. Doesn't completely cup my ears - as in I don't feel like they're 'sealed' in, but still very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. My colleague who usually wear plug-in earphones used them and said he felt like he was in a club! So that can't be all bad right?Bought them for £10.Overall, if you're looking for a set of earphones that blocks out sounds (like an open floor plan), and good quality music, but on a budget, I highly recommend these!UPDATE Nov 2012:Almost a year later and they're still working just fine! Just the wire gets a bit twisted.UPDATE May 2013:Still going strong and have decided to up it to 5 out of 5 stars - it's a good price and I listened through some other headphones the other day which were awful and tinny - made me appreciate these so much more. Would buy again.

More than pleased with these. Very good product for the price. I can now listen without disturbing others, and put together family videos without others having to listen to the music tracks over and over. With a little bit of 'padding' where they sit on your head,they would be a 5*, but my wife can fix that for me.

i bought these so i can watch movies at night without having to have the volume so low that i can barely hear the film.i must say these are excellent headphones, the sound quality is great and they are nice and light. i also like the fact that the cable to the second headphone is hidden inside the headband as this means you only have the one cable coming from the left earphone.great value for the price.

Although it looks the exact same pn photo as the older Philips headphones known about their comfort, it is not the same. The construction of it definitely looks and feels much cheaper than those older models and the sound quality isn't as good either. Overall, it is not a bad pair of headphones, but I expected better (and probably others do too, based on how similar it looks to the older models).

Excellent value for money, comfortable to wear and excellent sound quality

Bought for less than £5 from amazon warehouse. Excellent headphones o bought 2 for the children to use. Amazon as usual are doing it in amazing prices.

Nice and light weight, fit over ears well and the sound is decent. They adjust pretty well too, I have had difficulty with crash helmets because my head size is big, these fit well. I use them for my TV at night, I sleep later than my wife, she thinks they're ace! For the price, I think a pretty good buy. Happy.

These Are cheap headphones. Nothing extra or spectacular. Sound is pure and lack of dinamic range.
