confusion
At first, I found this moisture meter quite handy and easy to use. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize it has significant flaws. This meter doesn’t just detect water; it also picks up metal and other non-water materials, which creates a lot of confusion. When I tested it around my house, a few areas gave red readings, which initially alarmed me. I was sure there wasn’t any water in those spots, but I almost called someone for a full inspection, worried about potential water damage. Thankfully, I looked into it further and discovered the issue was caused by a metal frame on the other side of the wall, not water. To confirm my suspicion, I experimented further. When I tested my thin table surface, the meter showed it as dry. But when I placed a piece of metal or my phone underneath, it gave a red reading, indicating moisture. This inconsistency made it impossible to trust the device, so I decided to return it.If you’re looking for a reliable moisture meter, I’d recommend exploring other options. This one caused more confusion than it solved, and I wouldn’t rely on it for accurate results.
