Q: Will this case take the asus tuf x299 mk2 intel ddr4 motherboard?

I would think so, I have an Asus 990FX Sabertooth in mine. which is an ATX size. It is a very large case. Only have 2 problems with mine, as it is desk mounted you have to get up to use the USB 3 ports due to the height ( I fitted a 2 port front mounted add on ), and the in built hot swap drive unit on the top, has trouble with 3.5" drives, 2.5" no problem. I removed the louvres from the top to help air flow as using a H100i v2 water cooler for my FX9590 (220w TDP ). I got fed up with the units height and rebuilt the system into a Cooler Master HAF XB Evo, not for the faint at heart with big hands. Anyway hope this is of help to you. Regards Mike

Q: Does it come with a fan controller?

There is 2 switches on the top of the case to control the fan speed of 2 fans each so the 2 switches can control 4 fans in total and they can be switched to either high speed setting or low speed setting but I can't remember whether or not there is a medium speed setting or not, hope this helps :)

Q: Are the fans good and quite enough?

They' re. With good CPU cooler like Noctua or Alpenföhn and plenty of space inside you can test to disconnect the fans from front.

Q: Is the front and top panel plastic? And are the sides metal?

the top and front are plastic with the side panels being metal with a perspex window on one side
