Brinno PHV133012 Bundle (Digital PeepHole Viewer + Motion Sensor + Micro SD Card)

I like the peephole viewer because I can see the person at the door without looking through the peephole. If you don't like having to get up to see who is at your door get this product, you will love it.

I received the product in very good condition and all of the accessories where there. I was mounting this unit on a brand new steel hurricane door. So before I started drilling I wanted to make sure the viewer would work as it should. I drilled a 2x4 board and mounted the peephole by it self on it to see the view I had. Well it was vey good and clear. It gave a great angle of view up and down which is what I wanted. When I reassembled the unit on the 2x4 with the viewer I could only see from chest height and up to the eaves. I did like that so I tried it up side down and the view was greatly improved. But I did not want to mount it on my door upside down. Even upside down the image is still straight , like a regular camera. The field of view is why I purchased this unit.I called Brinno and also sent Pics of the different views. They in turn called Smartec Store who I purchased it from. I was Happily surprised when with in 30 minutes of my call to Brinno to receive a EM from Smartec stating they were sending out a new viewer that day.I received the new viewer in a very timely manner which I was happy about.I mounted the new viewer on my 2x4 again to check for the field of view and it was much better.I found these companies on Amazon.comI would give this unit a 5 star except for the fact that the first unit is defectiveThe Motion sensor and SD card work great. It very sensitive to motion and I think it a butterfly or just a fly goes' by it ,it will trigger the viewer to activate.I really like this unit and The Companies I dealt with. They seem to be very reputable and do care about customer service and care.I would highly recommend them to any one I know.It is a great product.I am going back and put them as a 5 star after all. It is one of the best units I have seen. I did get a viewer that had to have a 2 inch plus hole drilled in the door but it didn't have the convenience of an automatic viewer that snaps a pic with the a time stamp and day on it. That large hole unit was returned to the store for credit.Brinno was the best unit I could find and there associate Smartec was the least expensive on the market.Again Great Product. By the way another feature to this is that someone cant reverse view into your home with a special lens.Just Buy IT.

I believe in redundancy and defense-in-depth when it comes to security - so this door peephole camera and motion sensor system was really only a backup / enhancement to two existing intrusion detection / surveillance systems already in place. Thank goodness that's the case, otherwise I'd be pissed. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 3 or 4 (and I already had somewhat low to moderate expectations before I even received it).The photo quality is terrible and washed out even though our front door is covered and shaded; and the motion detector has an extremely slow response / delivery time. I mean REALLY SLOW! If you plan to use the system as I am, you're probably ok. But if it's the only security system you're planning to install, don't do it.

Item arrived fast. Works good. Great price. I swapped out the peep hole with one with a wider view. Now I can see head to toe who's at the door. I hid the motion sensor in a flower pot and it works perfect. Only complaint is batteries only last week.

This is a great product if you want to record who is at the door prior to opening it. Great for the kids to feel safe and know if they should even answer the door when the bell rings.

I purchased this to try and returned it. I purchased the bundle (motion sensor & 2GB Micro SD). The video quality is low and exactly one week after install the batteries died as with other reviewers. I ended up buying a DoorCamPro on ebay and am very, very satisfied. After using the DoorCamPro I now know what features are great. The DoorCamPro has touch screen, can hook up via USB to my PC to not only charge but also manage and view video, it has a rechargeable battery that lasts weeks. You can buy 2 batteries and use the included desk charger. it also has a Lithium Ion backup battery. The DoorCamPro can also record both good quality videos and voice. It has an alarm if someones is lurking at the door (Can turn it off) and has the ability top play a pre-recorded message.

I like it but the sensor may be a little too sensitive. If I can get like a rep or something that would be great but overall I give it a 5 star.
