Great clock
Love this clock. Wakes me up very gently. There is no strait forward alarm switch off so I just unplug it from the mains if I wake up before the alarm cycle is finished. All the settings on the clock stays programmed for about 2 hours after I unlug it so I do not have to set it up all again. I also like that the clock light is off so it does not disturb me when sleeping. When i want to know what time is it I just press one botton and it is displayed for couple of seconds in dimm light. Over all I am very happy with the purchase.

Wish I'd bought one sooner!
I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E and I cannot believe how long I went before investing in this! It's an absolute wonder, I cannot believe how much easier I find it to wake up in the morning now. The sunset setting is great as it's a really warm light that makes my bedroom feel really cosy. The alarm sounds aren't the greatest, but the birdsong is bearable. Should've bought one much sooner - it's easier both to get to sleep and to get out of bed (even on these cold winter mornings!)

It does work!
It does work! I thought I would have to send this back given that my brain doesn't respond to alarms after about three weeks. I desperation I used my phone alarm and changed the tone from bagpipes to Meatloaf at full volume, not even the 1812 Overture worked: everyone in the house woke up except me.The Lumie Bodyclock with optional sounds has not only sunrise but sunset settings to help get back to a normal sleep pattern. So far it's working, I use the sounds (a choice of 4), yes I have managed to sleep through the twittering birds but not often and the sunrise always works. No more yells of turn off that b--dy alarm. I'm not a morning person and despite trying to be one I've realised that it's not going to happen, at least with this Bodyclock I wake up to peace and quiet.

Good but could be better
This is the second sunrise clock we've owned. It does the job well and I find it much easier to wake up on dark mornings after the light has slowly faded up. So why only three stars? Two problems - first, the controls/menus are not very intuitive, I had to read the manual to set it up; second, it loses time - about a minute per week - which is very poor in this day and age.

Wakey Wakey!
A useful alarm clock. allows you to wake up to a well lit room without having to fumble for a switch and then be blinded by the instant explosion of light reminiscent of the Death Star exploding! the Sounds may not be to everyone's taste, but the 'regualr' beeping isn't too loud or annoying, haven't really tried any of the other sounds as Big Ben doesn't appeal, nor does bird song, but perhaps will give them a try sometime. The display can be dimmed to allow you to see the time too.One thing to note that other reviews mention - when you set the alarm, the time is paused, this may mean that it appears that the device is losing time, If you change the time of the alarm every day, it could take 30 seconds or a minute which could add up over a week or so. You may need to adjust the time accordingly. If you keep your daily waking time the same, it literally takes a couple of seconds if that to enable, so should give that 'time loss' effect.Previously had a different Lumie model that managed to break the button on - need to keep an eye on this one, but so far seems sturdy enough.A bit expensive for what it is, hence have dropped a star.

There are much better sunrise clocks out there
Can’t help but agree with the “most helpful” review written here. So, I bought this clock over 2 years ago. It’s lasted the test of time I guess! But official replacement bulbs are a complete rip off - just buy standard bulbs to plug in.So, let’s start with the basics. Firstly, as a clock it is appalling. Fails the first test of an alarm clock, in that it doesn’t even keep the time accurately. Loses about 60/sec per week by my estimations, meaning you’re constantly having to set the time again. This is something basic that isn’t easy to get wrong. Especially with the premium price tag attached to this product.Secondly, we have the interface. Whatever you do, do not lose the instruction booklet, or else you’ll never be able to work the damn thing again. It’s got a very clumsy interface with three buttons, and you cycle through a menu with completely unintuitive 2 letter descriptions. Impossible to navigate without the instructions - and I’m quite a tech savvy young chap, I dread to think how older folks might find this! Next, the buttons are crap. Very clunky and loud - I’m always worried that I’m being too loud for my flatmate as they make such a racket when you’re having to cycle through the menu just to change the time on your alarm.Thirdly, the alarm system. It’s actually quite a nice light to wake up to (I think I’d prefer it to be a bit brighter though, mind you). But this is a good light overall. And the three settings of 20 mins, 30 mins, or 40 mins sunrise is nice. As is the sunset feature which is good for bedtime reading. It can also run very hot when it’s been on for a while - beware! However, the alarm “sounds” this thing comes with are crap. Utter garbage recordings that jolt you awake - defeating the purpose of having this clock for a gradual wake time.So the only thing this alarm clock has going for it is the light sunrise and sunset features. Which is what you’re paying for, I guess. But there are much better alternatives out there - my friend has a Philips one which she much prefers. I wish I’d bought a Philips one instead, but after sinking £75 into this I supposed I’d better stick with it, which I have done for the last two years. So, as another reviewer pointed out, it does feel like cheap, tatty, plastic crap. But it has at least lasted me for a couple of years (which is the minimum I’d expect from this anyway). But for a clock that can’t keep the time, is nigh on impossible to navigate without some cryptic instruction booklet, runs very hot, has very loud buttons, has crap alarm sounds, and costs this much - you’d be better off saving your money and buying a cheap and basic version elsewhere.

Only if it's cheap.
I'm glad i bought this at half price. It looks and feels exceptionally poor quality. The buttons are clunky and the programming is overly complicated considering there are only three buttons..As described, the light comes on gradually which is nice, but at lower light levels a faint buzzing sound is emitted. My advice would be to check out more reviews and find a better quality product.

Bon produit

angenehmes Einschlafen, angenehmes Aufwachen
