Wasn't sure which bed vacuum to buy, but this Boreas Handheld turns out - so far only had 2 days and 1 - 1/2 hr cleaning, to be a great buy.+ great suction but not so strong that it sucks in a sheet or pillow case or curtain into the vacuum chamber.+ Cleans well. I emptied the filter after each vacuum to see how well it worked and the performance was really good. Cleaned the filter with soft brush each time and tapped the filter body on sink surface to remove the extra fine dirt, dust and hair.+ I vacuumed a sofa, work chair, my bed mattress and the memory foam topper which good results. The vacuum suction is strong and you can feel it suck against the vacuumed object. You can feel the vibration action on more firm surfaces, which I assume helps shake loose dirt.+ I was able to vacuum my bedroom curtains and even the mattress cover and blankets and sheets. This allow for touch up before going to bed as I have allergies to dust mite dropping and particles in the air.- Minus so far: The suction is stronger when you keep the filter clean. Once the filter clogs up a bit the suction drops about 25%, but not enough to degrade the efficiency too much- The ultra violet C only comes on on firm surfaces. I was able to make it work most times but on softer surfaces it did not operate.1 month review: Rating after month of use: Still an excellent machine, I use it nightly to vacuum my sheets and pillows - amazing how much lint/dirt/hair/fibers it picks up from the day, and too think I was breathing in some of this before I bought this product. I would recommend buying the 2 pack of filters so you could rotate in a clean washed filter. Also I found the best way to clean the filter after each use is tap the small bottom on a hard object - on a sink - which easily removes the the accumulated gunk.

This tool has become my hero removing dust mites from my bed, my mattresses, linens, clothes, chairs, curtains, and sofas. Virtually, all cloth surfaces in my living area are now on my list. 😃My breathing is much better in my home, and I have experienced a substatial decrease in itching episodes after using this UV vaccum.The cord is long enough to get to every area I target. The tool must be plugged into a wall socket to work. The operating sound is not bothersome, and the unit did not feel hot using it after 35 minutes.This will be a great gift for family members or friends suffering from allergies to dust mites, cut grass, pollen.

I washed the sheets and the mattress cover 5 days prior to using this device for the first time. Everything looked clean except for a few tiny balls which I assume to be from cotton from the clothes. After using this, I was shocked at the amount of "stuff" that I saw on the dust cup, maybe that's why they make it transparent. The stuff was grey and seemed like dust. Maybe the other vacuums have more power than this, but this looks pretty good.Unfortunately, there is no button to permanently shut off the UV rays, so I cannot give it 5 stars. I do not like or trust that feature. I will just make sure that it is pointing down at all times and away from my face.I was unable to find another vacuum that EXPLICITLY mentions such a button.I think this is pretty good, but I do not know how it compares with other vacuums or how long it will last.Also, as a side note it takes a couple of minutes for it to reach max temperature, I do not see this as a major inconvenience, but you might.

Love this vacuum cleaner. I not only use it on the mattress I also use it on my couch, chairs, and through pillows. Try it and buy it.

This stuff lifts some nasty stuff off the bed

Vacuumed my all organic mattress and mattress pad with this vacuum. Emitted a terrible smell when I used it. Though it was just a new smell and would go away. Started having headaches and muscle aches during the night and was fatigued when I got up in the morning. Took me several months to figure out it was the vacuum. I didn't use it the next time I washed the bed linens and the headaches and fatigue are gone. Do not buy this product. Unfortunately, by the time I figured out the problem it is too late to return.

Vacuum working well but UV light doesn't work

The vacuum works great. I had one problem with the power cord and I contacted customer service. They were wonderful and so easy to work with. They were quick to respond and resolved the issues. I highly recommend this vacuum. Melissa in customer service was great.
