Very detailed and thorough
I found the use of this book very thorough and detailed. It covers many aspects of features, coding, and examples. A thick and heavy book packed with information that will increase your knowledge of proper website building.

Wish this was around back when I started learning html and css
I've been watching rheinwerk after they buying the JavaScript book. Really loving the fact that they are translating their books to English. Now as for this one. I've been anticipating it's release and yeah, has everything just laid out and is a good refresher and more. Has more of the things that i learned when I first started journey into web developement and more. Definitely recommend as a good refresher and if you're just starting out, def think you'll learn a lot better and faster with this.

Easy to follow, lots of examples
I've only gotten thru the HTML part so far but everything is described and illustrated well. Along with the downloadable examples it has been easy to learn. It's up to date with the newest standards (ran into only 1 so far that was depreciated that my ide informed me of). I never realized how many videos and online sites are out of date compared to this printed book as of June 2023

Great book!
I wish this author had more topics in English. He REALLY has made this accessible to beginners. Most tech books Say for beginners but still begin by assuming Some knowledge about the subject matter on the part of the reader. This author doesn't and the book is indespensible because of that. If you are looking to learn coding/wedsite design/programming from the beginning this book is a little pricey but worth every cent.

It's slow going on learning how to use html, but I'm happy going through the lessons!

Big book that will just give you the very basics of HTML and CSS, not enough to develop websites.
Edit 2: 2024/1/11At the Chapter 7 point of the book (page 237) it's clear that the author padded pages by including a ton of very, very simple HTML that will never be used by the average web developer, and the with the use of big fonts to give the illusion that this is some sort of Bible for programming with HTML/CSS. The book in later parts also spends time on JavaScript, Sass, SCSS and AJAX. None of those four sections are covered in any real depth, and thus they misleadingly pad the length of the book. I am quite disappointed in this book. It should have been titled "HTML/CSS for absolute beginners who know nothing about programming". Save your money, folks. I'm shocked at all the great reviews thus far. I've owned a lot of programming books in my lifetime, I know a clunker when I see one.Edit 1: 2024/1/10Didn't find a single thing I didn't already know until I got to page 204 regarding Image Maps. For an absolute beginner who wants to create very, very basic web pages that really don't look modern at all, this book would be okay. Otherwise, the book is way too expensive and not a productive read.
