How long does it take to kill moss before you can paint your tarmac and would you have to scrub it or pressure wash it out also?

First this is only my own experience of how this product works in moss killing and is only a general guideline always refer to the the suppliers instructions before using!!,To kill moss on your driveway ,as instructed on the container(I used a 6 to 1 mix )and use a pressure spray bottle to apply the moss killer and lightly spray the affected area. Within 24 - 36 hour you will see the moss go brown in colour and even start to sprout.After that it will start to roll up on the corners of the moss patches,you can then sweep up the large areas of moss .The important thing to remember is weather condition,I found best results happen when the moss is moist but the ground is drying.You may require a second application if you have a very heavy moss infestation,but I have not had any regrowth.once removed you should be able to paint,but make sure you clean the area before painting.

How many years will moss clear last for after it has been applied on the roof?

Level of infestation, porosity /age of tile, North or South facing, amount of wet weather, will all be factors. As a 'rule of thumb' a diluted 'preventative' application of the same product should be applied as soon as the green algae and moss start to re-form. This on average is 1-2 years. can you use it in a watering can and water please

Yes, I use it in a plastic watering can diluted with water. But don’t over-dilute for best results on moss and weeds.

Can this be used on both a tarmac drive and sandstone patio?

Certainly could be used on Sandstone patio (I’ve used on block paved drive) but not 100% sure about tarmac. I believe it would be OK but try on a very small area with the Remover a little more diluted.

Slow, but it works

used at the high strength ratio of 3:1 and in 3 days you can see the Moss dying and going into an amber colour, its not green anymore and its slowly going away.

Used 1 to 3 ratio and quickly the green went beige. Next day patio looked clean. Best one I've used in years

Patchy results - but possibly for a reason

I applied the spray about 2 weeks ago. I was expecting to see everything that I sprayed to have turned brown by now, but the effects have been patchy: the majority has turned brown, but a significant minority of the area sprayed is still bright green. It is possible that the reason was that we had a short sharp shower about 8 hours after application. I am waiting for another opportunity to spray another area, and maybe I'll raise my overall rating if that one goes well.
