No. They are metal, easy to put together. Keep the sign in even if it's windy and I have to think every bit as good as the $85 ones.

Q: Are the dimensions listed specific for the poster or are thry the overall dimensions?

I'm not sure what they list but we bought signs for this type of thing elsewhere and they fit in this perfectly.

Q: How wide are the bezels around the edges?

I'd say about 1/4 inch. We bought standard sized signs and they have never come out.

Q: So does it come with the black backing boards or not?

It does not come with backing boards but between the middle brace and the lip around the edge, we have not had any issues with out signs coming out. And ours are outside along a road.
