Perfect Gift for Cooking Enthusiasts!
My husband got this knife, and it’s absolutely beautiful. It cuts, slices, and chops with ease. We love using it so much that I bought another one as a gift for a Japanese friend. She told me it’s very comfortable to use, especially when cutting chicken skin, which can be a bit tricky at times. I think this makes a great gift for anyone who loves cooking!

LOVE this RAZOR SHARP Kitchen Knife – Very Nice Slicer Indeed!
I saw this knife advertised as VG10 stainless steel Damasus chef knife, made in Japan – the tag line – “Slice like a Samurai” – which really spoke to me. Luckily, it was more than puffery. When it arrived, I was very happy to find that this Kitetsu is high quality, razor sharp, and a nice addition to my standard stainless kitchen knife set. The handle is quality and solid, and appears to be a full tang construction, meaning the body of the blade goes through the handle, as can be seen on the top of the handle. The presentation is truly beautiful, with hammering toward the top, and Damascus patterns near the edge. This knife really excels when it comes to slicing, which is really what the advertisement says. As shown in these photographs, I used the knife to effortlessly cut daikon radishes and carrots for bahn mi relish, and all sorts of vegetables for Buddha bowels, which I regularly make. The Kitetsu is also excellent when slicing tender vegetables like tomatoes, which seems to be powered in part by its high quality steel and thinness. The Kitetsu is thinner than the Henckles stainless steel kitchen knife that I’ve had for over 20 years. This means the Kitetsu is lighter, however, that’s the point – ha! – the thinner body seems to translate into more of a razor-like edge. So, as far as the needs in my kitchen, the Kitetsu sits somewhere between a standard kitchen knife and a Chinese-style cleaver – I don’t always want to deal with a large blade, but sometimes when I just need to turn some purple cabbage into mince or finely slice some bell peppers, this knife really is perfect. I have know dough it can dominate in other rolls as well. Very happy with this knife, and would recommend to others.

This is some high-end cutlery!!
I've spent years working restaurants and I've used a lot of knives. This one is going to be a go-to piece for years. The shape is versatile and the length makes it easy to use for almost anything. The blade maintains a good edge and the handle feels great in the hand and offers nice control. A good knife is an investment, and this one is definitely worth it.

Gave this to my friend in New Zealand, they LOVE it!!
I bought this chef knife as a gift for my friend in New Zealand. He is a chef and his son is also wanting to be a professional chef, and they love it!! I think that it’s a great gift for birthday and anniversaries given its quality and good looks.<My friend>When I took it in my hand, I found its weight balance was surpurve. It's not too light and it's not too heavy. The center of the gravity position helps me to cut soft objects by its weight. It is sharp enough to cut tomato skin by its weight. Although I've used this knife only several time so far, It keeps the sharpness well. I'm looking forward to using this knife more, sharpening it again by myself, and testing it more.<His son>My first impressions when I saw the knife, I thought there was not enough area on the blade. But I found out that it doesn't need more area because the weight balance and the sharpness and slickness of the blade was so immaculate that tomatoes would slice perfectly just by tapping the knife forward as the weight slices it perfectly.
