The quality, feel and colour is nice, if give this a 5 star. However, after putting one card in each slot, and another in the inside pocket (total of 4 cards), the case cover doesn’t sit flat, in fact it springs open unless I clip it with the magnetic belt. The fold / hinge isn’t wide enough to give space for the flap to close nicely, so your cards will press against the screen in order to keep the flap closed. It’s a shame the designers didn’t think of this.*update. After using it a bit the hinge has stretched and it’s a lot better. Generally happy.

There is a problem with this case. Callers can't hear (speech muffled) so it's pretty useless. It might be a one-off and I'm happy to adjust my review accordingly, but as it stands, it's not fit for purpose. I have another brand of Leather case, which works well. I like the Snakehive case for the texture and card slots. It feels fantastic. In fact, apart from people not being able to hear speech clearly, it's really great. Fine for people who text rather than talk.

Only just taken delivery so can’t yet comment on longevity. However, I’ve had a number of flip over leather iPhone cases over the years & this feels and looks like one of the nicest!I read reviews from people saying the microphone is muffled when in the case, so I have made a particular point of checking the sound quality both as a user and from the point of view of someone on the other end of the line. There is no difference whether the phone is in or out of the case. I can only suggest folks who are having problems have got their hand over the mic 😉As for shutting with cards in the card slots - show me a case (or a wallet for that matter) that does close flat with a pile of cards stuffed in it.Lastly, I bought the light green and it is pretty true to the colour on Amazon.

I am modifying my review here. Seller was very keen to help me out, and help me out he did. Replacing the item with a much beer "Honey Yellow" case. It is much, much better. Colour looks much like the photo and phone files well. It is bulky, but that is to be expected. I The leather stains quite badly, but I have rated mine with typical show protection and it now doesn't stain. I still believe the green is poorly represented in the photo, it is a much darker green. Shame it is missing the device which puts the screen to sleep when you close the case - this would be a good addition.I have mixed feelings about the presentation box it arrives in. Lovely, but I'm a fan of less packaging.Generally a great quality case for the price. Expect excellent service :)

A really lovely product. Beautifully finished and great quality. As you add cards in it’s not quite as easy to close. Magnet felt weak but does actually hold closed and works great. Getting cards in and out is a bit tricky but I expect the leather to give. Would only put about 4 cards max as it gets too much to close and keep a slim case but that’s all I needed it for. Propping the phone up in the case is pretty useful too. Again leather needs to wear in a bit but that’s to be expected anyway. Really looking after my phone and fits the phone perfectly so I’m really pleased. Comes beautifully packaged as well.

My wife picked this out and loves the beautiful handstitched leather IphoneXS case. Exactly as described, and she will certainly buy again in a diff colour to swap and change. Strong and good quality. Excellent choice, and fits very easily into iPhone XS case. Having seen comments that calls are muffled, she has not experienced anything different with this new case on, and just put 2 cards in the card slots and the strong flap fastens with no probs. She so pleased with it would certainly recommend. If it does get dirty then you can just wipe over with leather wipes, so quite versatile too and luxurious looking. She loves it and the feel of it is nice too. She had a shiny leather one before, but it was quite slippy to hold, this one is dull finish and does not slip in your hands and the leather thicker than her last one. Give it 5 stars.

This was an expensive phone case and after I saw it on Amazon I hunted high and low for something similar but cheaper. However in the end I bought it because I could not find anything like it. The new phone was a gift so I could stand the cost. I am really happy with my choice, the case is classy looking and the navy nubuck lives up to my expectations. I hope it wears in well with use. I did buy the case for its looks but it functions well as a case I haven’t had any problems with it so far. I do think that considering the price they could put a FOC screen cover in the box.

This is my second Snakehive wallet that I have had and they are wonderful. It protects my iPhone completely, is great quality leather and the colours offered will suit everybody. My husband has just received his new iPhone and on my recommendation has also had a Snakehive wallet and he loves it- his first experience of using a wallet type case.
