Laser6669 Fuel Filter Wrench - for Ford Transit

MADE THE REMOVAL OF FORD TRANSIT FUEL FILTERS EASY

I tried to remove the filter using a strap wrench but only succeeded in squashing the sides of the bowl (Transit Custom). I saw this and thought it was worth a go for the price. Money well spent in my opinion, it made the job so easy. Highly recommended.

Good quality item , nice and thick so no flexing. Great fit and did the job well. After working in a dealership the quality of this tool is the same if not better than manufacturers garage tools for jobs similar to this.

This works. It turns the fuel filter housing with ease to remove and replace it with a new insert.Ford wanted £70 plus for the job.I paid £32 or so for the filter and under £10 for this. It's already paid for itself after I changed the filter in the dark and freezing night time only once.Notes:Keep the drive hole and wider part of the tool to the middle of the van (on a transit custom anyway) so the tool does not jam against the frame as you turn it.The filter insert is very close fitting. Align the arrows correctly.After fitting, turn the key and hold for 30 seconds without starting six times to re prime the system.When the engine starts get it up to 1500 rpm for a couple of minutes to draw the fuel through properly.

The tool is made very well, I needed this tool to replace a fuel filter on a new transit, worked as it should, but the plastic fins on the filter housing can easily break so don’t use too much force.
