Seems to be doing the job well so far!
It was a little bit slow on the shipping side, but they fit well & were super easy to install in my humidifier & seem to be working quite well so far. I like that these do not have a metal exterior as the last filters I tried. That metal made it difficult to fit the filters properly & I felt at risk of hurting myself handling them. I like this filter much better & hope it will give adequate length of service. If so, I will be reordering.UPDATE: (in use for nearly a month now)I have been amazed at how much better this filter is performing than the last brand I purchased ... seems I am filling the water reservoir quite often & that means there is a lot more moisture being put into the air. It also has enabled my humidifier to perform more quietly & efficiently. I am quite the happy customer & will definitely be reordering this filter!

Was a little too short in length
As stated in another review, although this states it is a MAF-2 filter and an "Emerson MoistAir" brand in its title, it is about 1-1/2 to 2 inches too short for my Essick (was bought-out by Emerson) MoistAir humidifier. I was able to get it in the slots and carefully put the top on but the one end does not make it into the "final bracket" that is sort of important for holding it in place. I will be using a different supplier for my next filter to see how theirs fit. The replacement filter I bought at Lowes which is where I bought the humidifier sold ones that fit but had some sort of felt covering on one side. Anyways, it seemed to not last nearly as long as a regular filter so I am on the search for one that fits.

Beware of Misleading Seller
Like some others - I received a BestAir brand instead of Bemis brand. It was ordered from the seller 'Buy-it-now-store'. I cannot vouch for the other sellers. It lasted less than a month, turned rusty brown along the top within days and stank upon initial use. I went back on Amazon and ordered some Essick Air Products brand replacements (not realizing I was buying from the same seller). I had paid $7.89 for the Bemis brand the first time and $9.99 for the Essick the second time and received the same BestAir brand filters. I will not be ordering from 'Buy-it-now-store'

Happy Customer!
I purchased our Emerson MoistAIR humidifier from our local Home Depot store in 2009. I was extremely pleased with my purchase and pretty impressed with the quality of the product for the money. I have to admit however, I was very displeased with the availability of the replacement filters. After about a year of owning the humidifier I thought I'd browse the humidifier/filter aisle at Home Depot to quickly find a replacement filter, but sadly they don't carry them or at ANY Home Depot. I guess you could say this was a tad frustrating when time is money!! After also searching a few local hardware stores, who also did not carry the humidifier or filter, I started my search online. I am willing to admit I'm not an avid online shopper, mainly because I'm skeptical of the seller or the poorly designed/secure site, so hopefully this review builds your confidence in purchasing the filter through Amazon. Amazon has been one of my top web sites I to turn to when comparison shopping because of all of the great reviews and reliable customer base.Since replacing the filter in my Emerson humidifier, I have had zero problems. The filter was very easy to install and wasn't damaged or used. After growing up in the midwest for most of my life I've learned cold, dry winters wreck havoc on the air quality in your home. I am very happy with my purchase of this filter on Amazon. I also read the few customer reviews that recommended the water treatment product you add to the humidifiers water before running the humidifier. The air quality of our home is important to me so I also added the Bacteriostatic Treatment product on to my order at the very last minute. Overall I'm pleased with the filter and treatment additive. I'm not 100% confident the treatment is doing anything, but I notice the air is less dry in our home! I'll be replacing the filter once every year and most likely return to Amazon!!

Like many other buyers
I ordered 3 of these filters on Amazon (through a company named Filters-NOW) to have available for the future. I didn't need them until recently. Each filter lasted less than a month before the wick formed a hard crust at the top and became unable to absorb enough water to put out humidity. The filters didn't come in the expected packaging with an identifiable manufacturer; just a clear plastic bag. I wasn't aware until use that they were clearly NOT the filters I had used previously, although they were called "MAF-1 Emerson MoistAIR Humidifier Wick Filter" in Amazon's ad copy.I expected that Amazon vetted their partners and products. Like many other buyers, I am incensed that they did not do so in this case!

Suck it up, Sears
I own a Sears humidifier, and was pretty much sick of buying their wick filters. So I checked online and I found these guys. And I am so glad I did. This particular filter was a little to big, but after a little, no hassle, bit of trimming it works every bit as good as the Sears version at a fraction of the cost. Thank you. I can breathe easier having this wick filter, and knowing a new place to buy them.

Filter too flimsy -- not same as original Manufacturer version
I bought two of these filters from Accumulair and I assumed that they were made to the same specification as the manufacturer's version. When they arrived, they appeared flimsy, and I thought the original filter I had was a little more stiff. Never the less, I was able to get the filter to stand up straight in the unit, at first. After a week or two of use, the filter began to sag. Eventually, the filter collapsed in the unit making it nearly impossible for my humidifier to keep up. This happened to both of my filters in a matter of a few weeks. It wasn't until now that I realized that the construction of this filter is different than the one provided by the original manufacturer.

No evidence that it is made by Emerson
I have just installed this filter, it does not contain a label saying Emerson or any other brand claim on the package. My last wick filter had the metal support, this one is only paper and has a gap at the top when placed in place. We will see how well it performs. The sellers should NOT claim it is an Emerson wick unless it is made by them.
