good buy from seben.
bought to replace the useless red dot starfinder on my celestron 114lcm, needed to drill two holes into the telescope to fit, works fine also the scope is well made for the price what you would expect from seben.

Ok for small telescope
A bit flimsy

Perfect
Works great with my telescope, which is 10in skywatcher.

Loose Componants when it arrived, and NOT focusing at distance
I thought I would take a punt on this RA finder but I am sadly disappointed. The eyepiece assembly was all loose and when carefully tightened up it would not focus at distance (it would close to!). At the closest point to focus the eyepiece had a little wobble when touched. Comparing this to an old 25 mm straight though that I had, which focused no problem at distance, and the image brightness was also reduced (prob. due to the diagonal) and eye relief nowhere as good. Returned for a refund.

Nice wide field view but bad colour fringing lets it down.
It does not fit properly on my scope but I only want to use it occasionally with StarSense to calibrate the camera with. There is a small amount of black material inside the scope, which is not good, and bad colour fringing around the lens but otherwise its ok.

OK for the money, but fiddly and inconsistent setup to align with the main scope
I've been using a straight through scope but find I'm needing to be more flexible than my aging joints will allow to use the scope especially for objects near the zenith. I thought I would buy a cheap 90 degree scope and see if it helps. If I do get on ok with the 90 degree scope I won't be keeping this one - see the reasons below. The body and the mount are plastic but the mount in particular is finished to look like enamelled metal. The mount is designed to fit directly to the telescope rather than slide into a pre-existing shoe. The optical quality isn't great but for the price I wouldn't expect that. However the purpose of a finder scope is to have a wider field of view than the scope (this does) and be capable of consistent alignment with the centre of the telescopes field of view which is hard to do with this finderscope. If you choose to buy one I'd suggest fitting it to your scope with tape and try to align it before fitting it properly then you can return it if you find the same problem as me. I've spent 30 minutes juggling the 4 alignment screws to get it close to usable. By comparison the straight through finder supplied with the scope I aligned in a minute. The original has a 3 screw system but one spring loaded. The other two handle up/down and left/right so it is very easy to dial in the alignment. With this one, the best I was able to do is loosen all the screws, hold it in the position I wanted then tighten the screws until there was tension on them. Even so it required further adjustment to be close enough. Just a gentle tweak at this stage is enough to move the target object out of the telescope's field of view. Quick update. I've now done what I should have done in the first place and bought the Skywatcher 9x50 right angle finderscope. Aligning the Skywatcher was so much easier - one screw does left-right, the other does up-down. It took 20 seconds to align.

Fast delivery well packaged and fits perfectly on my telescope ...
Fast delivery well packaged and fits perfectly on my telescope. Solidly built with metal replacing my plastic one with no angled eyepiece which made my telescope difficult to hit the target. Now for the small investment its opened a whole new world for me.

Nice and cheap so wasn't expecting much
Nice and cheap so wasn't expecting much, its to replace or join forces with my red dot finder. There view isn't amazing when testing on terrestrial objects but it isn't designed for that so no worry, my cross hair wire is a little slack so its a bit bent. When fitting to my skywatcher 130 the screws from my red dot weren't long enough so had to turn them upside down and have the but on the outside but it fits nice and snug. Should help with finding objects better than my red dot and also help with manual guiding for AP.If your after a cheap finder and just starting out then you can't really go wring!!! It works for what it was made for!I have had things from seben before and have no real complaints.
