Great light
Delivered on time and it does exactly what it said it would do even in the dreary days we've had over the last week it's still gained enough power to last through the night, easy to install and I would buy it again in the future!

Effective and easy to install !
This really works pretty well. The light (while not overly bright outdoors) is certainly sufficient for illuminating a path down the side of a house. The PIR detection range is pretty limited (perhaps 5 metres) but ample for my needs.Installation was very straightforward, although the supplied mounting mechanism does feel somewhat flimsy.I can't comment on the rechargeable battery lifetime but the solar panel appears to provide sufficient power to keep it charged, even in Scotland !

EASY TO SET UP
I have purchased a similar movement triggered, solar light before from a local store. It was much bigger than this one, but also much more expensive and extremely hard to set up. Yet the basics were identical. A solar charger panel, a cable and a light source with a movement sensor on it! This new one arrived yesterday, well packaged and even without the instructions was simple to set up.The only 'problem' I had, was trying to remove the sticker from the front of the actual light display itself. After about 20 minutes of carefully picking at it, to avoid scratching the plastic cover, I realised there was a fine plastic film over the cover and peeled that off in one, along with the sticker. There is also a transparent sticker the same type, over the solar panel too. Would it help to be mentioned in the instruction leaflet, dunno, guess people have better (far younger) eyes than me probably. The plastic film peeled off very easily, once I realised it was there.I pushed the connecting plug and socket together, screwed the weather proof cover over that connection and all good to go. I left it in my kitchen window yesterday for 12 hours daylight.. It actually was partially charged but I will leave it there for another 12 hours today, just to ensure it is fully charged. The remote control is easy to use, there is also a little plastic tab that needs pulling out to enable the battery to work. The on/off and mode switch (one button) on the back of the unit and could be tricky to get at once installed at the recommended height of 8-12 feet. I guess that is why there is a small remote control unit. The light is very bright (well it was in the kitchen last night, took me by surprise when I went in and it came on, I had forgotten it was there), it remains to be seen how well it will perform when installed outside. The previous, more expensive one, lasted over 12 years and only reason it failed was the plastic that covered the movement sensor, went brittle and disintegrated. For the price, if this one lasts even 5 years I will be happy enough. There is a very long cable with it , which means the solar panel can be placed quite a distance from the light itself to ensure good charging from daylight.I live far north Scotland, there is enough daylight, all year around, to charge these mini devices up. Direct sunlight is better, but as long as the solar unit is in good daylight, it will charge anyway. The sensor is good, my neighbours cat triggered it last night through the glass of the kitchen window and that cat was outside, not in my kitchen. All in all it seems to be a pretty good device and reasonable price.I will amend after a few months to update how it is performing. Sorry but the photo isn't very clear, the best I could do with my old mobile phone, but it will give an idea of size (going by the pen I have placed near it). The cable hasn't been unwound (yet) but it will be of course when it is placed outside. Please note: It is important to ensure the white sensor button, when the light is installed, is at the bottom of the unit. The angle of both the light and solar unit can be moved when installed, not a great deal of movement, but enough to ensure both are facing the correct direction for best effect. All in all, I amhappy to recommend at the moment.

This is my second of these units and they are very good
I was lucky enough to review one of these and I received it for free. I liked it so much I bought another one for the back of my house. The only thing I would say is I would like to turn down the sensitivity just a little bit as when it’s windy, it tends to pick up on flapping table covers and things like that, and so can waste a lot of the electricity stored. That said, there is a brilliant, functional remote, with various settings - one of which is an off button for such times when the wind is mis-triggering it.If I could ask for one more thing from this light, it would be to pick up a human figure a little earlier as I have to get halfway down my quite small garden in order to trigger it. So what I’m saying is make it less sensitive but make it more sensitive. I don’t know what I’m saying!!These are great, buy one if you want to try and harness the power of the Sun for eco-reasons, or you if don’t have access to mains electricity where you need it.

Easy fitted extra security
Of robust construction, provided with more than adequate wire to connect the lamp and the sensor.I mounted the fitting on a pre-painted plywood board this made installation easyThe light give of a high level of illumination I would recommend the product.

Disappointing
These lights were disappointing. They are cheap plasticky construction and the fixing for both the light and solar panel only swivel through one axis.Would have been much better with ball joint type mountings as it would then be possible to rotate both to get the light where you want it and the charger panel to the most efficient position. Can end up when fitted looking very unprofessional.Don’t expect to illuminate a large area as they wont do it. Only really suitable to light a small area or inside a garden shed but not as a work light.Would I buy them again ? No.Would I recommend them ? No.Would I return them ? If I could , yes.I bought 2 x 2 packs and feel I’ve wasted £50.You don’t find out the downsides until fitted and then probably wouldn’t be returnable but if a refund was offered I would accept as I have my doubts they will live as long as the warranty. That is the downside of online shopping , especially for items like this.My advice , see things like this in the flesh and working before wasting your hard earned money.

remote control failed but light still good for my needs
Whilst the remote control wouldn't work it still proved a decent purchase. The solar panel provides enough battery power for the light to operate as and when I enter the garage (motion sensor perfect for the situation). A good bright light
