I like it
Great little 2 ch plane. This will live in my truck for opportunistic flying. The price is Great! If you want a plane that can be flown out of the box with no experience, crashed all day long with no real consequences and fits under the seat in your car, this is it. Plus, It's cheap enough to allow for some reckless play. I plan to get another so my son and I can dogfight. This would be an excellent gift for a kid (of almost any age) with no prior rc plane experience. Yeah, it's more of a toy than a serious rc plane, but if crashing results in laughter, not tears, I won't complain.A little tail heavy out of the box, but still flyable, just a little fluttery. I added some putty (designed for attaching posters to the wall) to the nose. Makes it fly a little faster, but more controllable and lets it handle a little more wind. Still a little tail heavy, so I might play with adding more putty. As is, it flies well in a small space (not a living room, but definitely in a good size yard). With more nose weight it might be faster and require more space. More nose weight will probably require more throttle and thus reduce flight time (use up your battery quicker).I like that the throttle returns to zero when you release the stick. If a crash is immanent you just let go and hopefully save the motors and props.Shakes off crashes well, and looks easy to repair. I've crashed it plenty and no damage so far. Probably won't hurt a car or building or person in a crash. Location of props makes it unlikely that they will break, but it came with 2 extras. The box makes a nice storage/transport case. Throw in some tape, a stick of hot glue and a mini lighter and you can probably make all your repairs in the field.Flight time is ok, but it came with 3 batteries and they charge fast, so I bet you could keep this in the air indefinitely as long as you have more than one charger (mine came with 2!).Landing gear doesn't stay in, so I haven't tried it, but you could glue it in. I'd use hot glue, then just heat the wire to remove it later if I wanted to. Flies fine without it, you just can't take off from the ground without it.The battery compartment is tight; requires some fiddling to get the battery and plug to fit. Probably the weakest element of the overall design. I worry that I'll wear out the thin wires in the plug with all the fiddling. I might remove the plastic cover and just use blue painters tape to hold the battery in place. That will make switching batteries easier while extending the lifespan of the plug wires. The lights are Awesome! I love that you can turn them on and off from the remote. I haven't tried night flying, ever, but I will! The lights are a different color at the nose than at the tail, so orientation can be maintained in the dark.Only one caution: LiPo batteries can be dangerous if handled carelessly. Even small ones can burn your house down. Learn how to handle them safely. Play responsibly!

Fun
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The DEERC RC Plane is an absolute blast and perfect for beginners of all ages—kids and adults alike. It’s easy to fly right out of the box thanks to the 6-axis gyro stabilizer, and the controls are super intuitive. The three included batteries give you plenty of flight time for real fun, not just a quick spin. Durable, lightweight, and forgiving during crashes—great for learning without frustration. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to dip into RC flying without the steep learning curve.

Good plane for the price and my purpose.
My use case is that of a beginning hobbyist.IMHO the mosst critical skill in learning to fly is "Orientation". If the plane is flying directly away from you and you want it to turn right, you move the airleron and/or rudder stick to the right. OTOH, if it is flying directly towards you and you want it to turn in that same direction, you have to move stick(s) to the left.... and so-on and so-forth for various orientations in-between.You have to get those stick movements burned in to your lower brain stem - right next to tying your shoe laces - in order to avoid Bad Things from happening. This plane is good for that: it can be flown in my 40x100 foot front yard and is has survived dozens-if-not-hundreds of crashes. If somebody would sell a plane like this with 4-channel control (rudder, airleron, and elevator) I would pay twp hundred bucks for it without even thinking twice..... but, as-is, this plane does the job of letting me train my thumbs and lower brain stem to do the right thing to turn planes in the desired direction purely by reflex. This thing wants still air or close to it. Given that, it is exactly what I wanted: a slow backyard flyer. Not a "Floater", but close enough. You are *not* going to surf a breeze like with one of the deltoid EPP models because it will just kite away. Mornings and evenings are the ticket. The battery compartment could use some work. As it is, the battery just barely fits and the user has to spend some time cramming in the wires and connectors. My workaround has been to replace the battery compartment door with a strip. of cloth tape and some velcro. This allows use of batteries up to 300 mAh. My exlerience has been that it flys best on 250s.... 300 and it labors, 150 and it's tail-heavy... still flies, but nose up...Still, it *does* flywith a 300mah battery (which I happen to have a supply of).You *will* eventually lose the landing gear because it is held in place only by friction. What it needs is a little notch in the wire that clicks into place on a nub where it inserts.Five stars except for the battery compartment and landing gear.

It’s a toy that is worth the cost.
I received this plane two months ago. I am rarely able to fly it due to the constant breeze at my location. The times when it’s calm I have throughly enjoyed this plane. Since it comes with three batteries and two chargers I can usually fly for 30 minutes or so by switching out batteries as they run out of juice. I did find that adding a small weight to the nose of the plane has helped stability. Today however I found that one of the two chargers has stopped working. I tried to contact the seller through chat to resolve the issue but was unable to get through. I’ll try a phone call or email and update this review regarding customer support. I also lost the wheels and broke one propeller. Two spare propellers are included and simple to replace.I do recommend this plane as a fun durable toy easy to master flight control.
