Really good quality shower

This is the second of these I’ve bought for different bathrooms. They are easy to fit and install, seem really good quality and doesn’t leek. It has useful water saving functions to stop the kids turning it on too fast and wasting all the water, plus the same function for stopping them turning it on too hot and burning. Seems good, time will tell, but would recommend based on the build quality.

Replaced an Aqualisa shower valve which was leaking. Easy to fit, and my god the shower is wow. Hot and powerful too. I didn’t add the temperature stop as it’s just me. I’ve never had such a good shower in my home to date.

I bought this to replace a similar item fitted in our house ten years ago. The original item was a cheaper make than this, but has lasted ten years in a second bathroom so I’m optimistic this will exceed that use.Bought this one as the dimensions closely matched those of the fitted unit we had already, so we expected a simple swap by our plumber with no more holes in the wall and no tiles to be replaced.We weren’t disappointed. The plumber switched off the water and swapped this unit in very quickly. He couldn’t swap the shower head sliding bracket without needing to drill new holes so he left the old one in and the shower head fits in it fine.The hose from the shower to the shower head is a flexible pipe rather than the usual metal type that overlaps when it bends. I prefer this as the metal types are more prone to mould as water can sit in the small grooves. (Hopefully you know what I mean).My only criticism is that the actual shower head itself seems really cheaply made compared to the actual shower control unit. But we never bought it for the shower head, it was just cheaper to get the all in one thing.It’s a standard size so we could replace the shower head if we wanted with ease.

Keeps temperature even. Good flow rate. In my experience usual quality Grohe product at reasonable price.

I maintain five houses. This purchase replaced a Screwfix exposed shower valve (~£50) that failed after 2 years. This one works a lot better than the Screwfix one ever did, To date I haven't had a Grohe valve fail at all. The one in my home bathroom was fitted in 1994 and is still working as well as when it was installed. You can do the math. It attached OK on the screwfix mountings but I had to use some O rings to get it to seal. Buying quality is cheaper in the long-run.

Plumber has fitted, looks smart and no doubt a premium product. Really disappointed to learn that the control knobs are in fact chromed plastic, and feel cheap when held.
