Made a bike bash guard. Easy to form.
Made a bash guard for my electric mountain bike. Even better than a mass produced one. A fine toothed saw blade at low speed is best for cutting. it can be done with a very sharp utility knife and scoring again and again and but you get the idea. Takes a long time to cut this stuff with a sharp blade. Saw is better and safer.I read up on the heat to use in the oven, and wore cloth mechanic gloves when handling the hot plastic sheet to form into my bash guard. Using hook and loop straps to keep it secured tot he bike. Worked mint!!

Very happy
This Kydex works well and came with good instructions. I got the .08 thickness, which is perfect for a trigger guard holster. It all came out great, and once you have made the item, you can then use tin snips to remove excess material, and then a grinder or sandpaper to finish the edges. I drilled a hole to attach a lanyard and I’m quite happy. If you need to make temporary markings as a guide for cutting off extra material, a white wax pencil works. I’m guessing a Sharpie marker would also work, but you might need to use rubbing alcohol to remove the Sharpie marks afterward, whereas wax pencil can be easily rubbed off.Yes, I recommend this product.
