just like the accompanying mic it is super easy to set up and really helpful for anyone trying to get in to content creation as it’s sleek design not only looks great on camera, it also lets you get the perfect audio.

I like this THRONMAX S8 Mic Stand for Game Streaming and Broadcasting. It is well engineered, very strong, heavy and sturdy - but moves silently unlike the cheaper anglepoise spring-style stands which are noisy. Unfortunately the clamp support does not fit my desk, which has a metal frame underneath making it 70mm thick - the clamp support has a range of 10-55mm. There is an alternative mounting for this situation, which involves drilling a hole through the desk - I will do this but have not had a chance yet, so the rest of my testing was done on another desk away from my normal equipment station.I found it easy to adjust, and stable when in position. The mic cable is concealed within the stand making everything neat, and there are a couple of adapters to increase the range of mic compatibility.Overall, I'm very happy with this stand, and rate it five stars. The value is good for such a high quality engineered product, at around £69 at the time of reviewing.

Before even opening the box, the sheer weight gave the immediate impression that this was a serious piece of sturdy kit. And indeed, on opening, the outstanding quality of this boom arm microphone stand was obvious from visuals and touch, and certainly warrants its sturdy claim.Designed for desk top, was able to rapidly install on a computer desk in minutes using the clamp mounting option, aided by clear instructions. There is also an option to grommet mount, which involves screwing through a hole in the desk, unless one exists already - this would provide an even firmer mount, perhaps for professional use. However, the clamp mount is sturdy enough, without necessitating modifying the desk top.The microphone mount has a gimbal for all orientations, and can take either 5/8", 3/8", or 1/4" screw fixings - suitable for most microphones currently available. The arm needs some microphone weight to stop the arm springing upwards; the light plastic microphone shown in the photographs worked fine, so this would not normally be an issue in practice. The much heavier microphone recorder also was supported very well. There is also a built-in wire channel at the edges of both the arm pieces; in conjunction with the removable plastic covers would easily facilitate leads with any jack size, even the chunky XLR ones.The microphone sound will largely be dependent on the quality of the microphone itself, and the room acoustics; but the robust build and practical use of this stand will certainly help matters.Overall, most impressed with the sheer quality, sturdiness, and practical use of this well-designed microphone desk top stand. Thoroughly recommended.
