Ignore the negative reviews! This is my best buy all year!
The media could not be loaded. This is a fantastic product – I’m so glad I ignored the few negative reviews. I suspect these are from people who don’t take the time to read the instructions and use the product properly. I saw a 1-star video review on here somewhere where the reviewer is clearly not using the product properly, so I just had to leave a video myself to show that it definitely DOES work, and does a great job! Some of my windows are difficult to access from outside and I’ve always had trouble cleaning them myself, and resorted to using (expensive) professional window cleaners. No longer! Now I have the Pinewick MasterGlass I can clean my windows easily and save a load of money on window cleaning services in the process!DELIVERY – very fast with no issues as usual with AmazonPACKAGING – The packaging looks great, a lot of thought has clearly been put into it. It comes in a nice magnetic closing box, which has a useful guide on the bottom on how to measure your window thickness to check it’s the right thickness for the tool to work. Really well put together, it feels like you’re opening a gift.CONTENTS – Everything in the box is actually really useful, unlike some other brands that seem to include a load of useless junk in the box! You get a full collapsible spray bottle that really helps soak your windows (especially the outside) and is easy to store when not in use. You actually get a bottle and not just a nozzle, like I saw other brands offering. The microfibre cloth for finishing the corners is really high quality. Spare cleaning pads and a nice storage bag are also included. The instructions are nice and clear (for a change!). Then there’s the tool itself, which is well made and robust, with a decent sized handle – making it easy to use. I can see a lot of other brands have tiny handles, which I imagine would make them much more difficult to use.USING THE TOOL – It takes a bit of practice to get used to using the window cleaner – I followed the advice in the instructions to try it out on a ground floor window first, which is a great tip. The magnets are definitely strong enough to hold on my double-glazed windows no problem. Once you get the hang of it and use plenty of water and go slowly as it says in the instructions its no problem to use at all (see the video). Got my dirty windows sparkling in minutes! Really happy with the results. Some reviewers mention pinching their fingers with the product, but if they’d just followed the warnings on the packaging and instructions to keep the magnets well apart this wouldn’t be a problem. They’ve even included a special wedge to help get the two halves apart again in case this happens – another thoughtful addition to the kit. The magnets have to be strong to hold the tool on the window. I wouldn’t use this on single glazed windows as it might break them. And I guess it’d fall off a triple glazed window – as it mentions on the listing.OVERALL – 10/10 I couldn’t recommend this product enough. It basically pays for its self in one use now I no longer have to hire a window cleaner. It’s definitely my best buy all year. Get one!

Good for sash windows
Does the job, does take time as you have to go slowly to keep the magnets together. Would I never pay for a window cleaner again - no, but it’s a nifty bit of kit and left sash windows v clean. I used it on a rainy day and the magnets seem to work best when there’s less friction on the glass.

Easy to use and very effcective
Used this within about an hour of it being delivered. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow and it it worked VERY well, leaving me with lovely clean windows without have to struggle to get out onto the flat roof to clean them. Never any hint that the outside part would fall (but I kept the cord around my wrist just to be on the safe side.It has made cleaning my windows fun!At the price it is a bargain - and so quick too.

Not fit for purpose
1 star is generous, the quality and feel of the window cleaner is why it gets the 1 star ( the build and material is obviously good quality). Now for the rest of it... I read the instructions before messing with anything, they are clear and easy to follow, so I tried to clean the kitchen window as it's easy to reach and out of sight of neighbours, soaked both cleaning pads with hot soapy water, drenched the window inside and out with hot soapy water and attached the window cleaner. Within 20 seconds it fell off, tried again and reapplied more soapy water and again in a few seconds it fell off. The little portion of the window it did go over while stuck to the window very briefly wasn't even clean so I gave up even trying to get it to stick for longer. Returned for full refund and will be recommending to anyone who will listen to just avoid this thing as it is not fir for purpose.

Over all good to have
It does a good enough job .... not perfect but saves on window cleaner bills, just keep your fingers and thumbs clear of the magnets at all times. The strength of the magnets issurprising. Overall good to have.

Works very well.
We have just inherited 4th floor double glazed windows from the 1980 ‘s half of which will not flip over for cleaning. They looked as if they had not been cleaned since 1990!I was sceptical of these cleaners having read reviews generally about magnetic window cleaners being useless and not adhering to the outer pane. This set of British ones are excellent. Our windows are very awkward and it is difficult. however, I was able to spray enough cleaning water onto the bit I could reach. It was tricky reaching round far enough to get the outer one of the pair to touch the window however as the inner one was slid towards it the magnet worked and they locked together ok. I was then able to push the cleaning fluid over all the window using the unit and then start the pattern suggested in the instructions. The windows were so dirty that I had to follow the extra step in the instructions and rinse off the cotton pads before having another go at each window. It is difficult to get right into the upper corners and needs several attempts swooping in from different directions. The tether was used but was not needed until it was time to disengage the magnet and bring the outer one inside. When doing that tricky operation (our windows being so awkward) I made sure that the tether was shortened so that if the outer unit fell , it did not clatter away down the tenement wall.Very pleased with the result. The collapsible bottle which comes with the unit is very neat and slips through the minimal gap to reach the outside. I notice that it has a hole punched through it at the top and I am going to use that to attach a short tether to it too for next time. It was hard to spray the outside glass and my hand was at such an awkward angle that the spray bottle nearly fell from my grasp. (4 floors down to retrieve it!) A slight negative about the spray bottle is that you cannot lay it down when it is full as the fluid just runs out of the hole. However, it clipped onto the window sill when not in use. Next time, I will take an empty pail with me and it can hang off the inside of that. The units seem well made and sturdy. I am now going to work my way down the communal staircase windows which are also 30 - years -filthy!One rather interesting searching issue on Amazon was that this particular product, Pinewick master glass magnetic window cleaner did not appear in my initial search results. I had searched extensively and I got all sorts of others with mixed reviews which did not tempt me. However, when I went away from Amazon and did a shopping search on Google, to see what else might be out there, that is when the pinewick one appeared with the seller being Amazon! An issue for the seller to take up with Amazon, perhaps?
