Great for stranded wire, differing diameters and box wire extensions
The media could not be loaded. Great for hard wired ceiling and wall lights that typically have smaller diameter stranded wires that can be difficult to connect to solid 14 or 12 gauge Romex wiring typically found in an outlet box.Whenever I use Wago lever connectors, I always put electrical tape over the levers before pushing the wires into the box. It only takes one little snag of a lever on another wire or the box to disturb the connection. Better to be cautious than risk any mayhem. There is also a “test port” in the center of the Wago connector to verify the connection with a meter. That’s not a feature found on wire nuts.Stranded and solid copper wires are notoriously troublesome to connect with wire nuts. This Wago product holds them both secure despite differences in wire gauge and stranded versus solid wire. Also great for extending wires is a box that are too short. I don’t know how some of the outlets and receptacles I see on jobs were ever connected because the wires are too short.See the photo of the wires coming from the wall box. I used these Wago inline connectors to add 12 inch pigtails to connect a 20 inch “moon” wall scone - see the “moon light” photo.Terrific for quick, easy to remove speaker wire connections as well. The wire grip on the Wago 221’s is as good as a pre-twisted solid wire to wire connection with a wire nut.The small footprint of the 221’s also makes them ideal for tight spots. Great product but don’t use them on aluminum wiring - the copper in the Wagoconnectors and aluminum wire are incompatible materials. Hope that helps!

Secure and Swift Connections
WAGO 221-2401 inline connectors are a game-changer for wiring projects. They’re tool-free, so you can connect wires in a flash. The strong clamping force makes sure the connection is secure and reliable, and the compact size saves space in junction boxes. Plus, the transparent housing lets you see the connection easily. These connectors have totally simplified my electrical work, and I feel more confident and efficient.

Easy, fast, space saving
Wago lever locks are easy, fast and space saving. Review some of the you tube videos that test them against wire nuts and knock off lever locks. Wago lever locks perform comparable to wire nuts and better than knock offs. I will never use wire nuts again.

Solid connections, Easy to use
No more soldering! Thank goodness. With these clamp connectors I can forego the soldering iron, the wire, the flux, the fumes, the mess, so forth and so on. They work extremely well, I have tugged hard on the wires and they are in there securely. Plus it is easy to undo the connection if you need to, simply pull the lever back up. I can twist small LED wires together and put them in one port, and a battery holder's wire in the other port and voila, a hobby LED set up is good to go. If I need to replace an LED, just pop open the clamp and swap it out. Brilliant, cannot say enough good things about these clamps. They have made my life so much easier!

Work well
These make replacing a ceiling light fixture a lot easier. The only issue is that there seems to be a slight delay (1 second) from flipping the light switch til the light turns on.

Reliable connections quickly in less space
Easily create reliable connections with these and they take up less space than wire nuts. To be extra safe I wrapped them in electrical tape after making the connections to avoid an accidental opening when moving them around inside service panel or junction box.
