MarBlue Slim Hybrid for iPad Air - Carbon Fiber (AJSA1P)

I was a big fan of Marware (now MarBlue) having purchased several of their cases for previous generation iPads. I upgraded to the iPad Air, so I selected this case, as it seemed similar in design to the previous model.Unfortunately, it's junk. The carbon fiber material is nice, as expected. However the fit is poor. The iPad itself is restrained by 4 corner clips on the back plate....it loosely stays in, and is very easy to pop out accidentally. The cover, which on previous models was snug (almost difficult to open), doesn't stay shut at all. Swings wide open, and the two clasps never even contact the mating side.I don't know the details between the name change from Marware to MarBlue, but unfortunately they've gone from well made cases to non functional junk.I will be returning this item.

Between my family and friends, we've bought a double digit number of Marblue (née Marware) products. This is the second one I've ordered that is subpar. The spine is a tad too short so it's tough to close. Imagine a book cover so tight the book cannot close. Worse, though, is one of the corner retainers prevents the cover from closing completely once it's stretched out enough to try.

Let me start off by saying that I had a Marblue (i.e. Marware) carbon fibre case for my iPad 2 and, before that, my Blackberry Playbook. I love the cases! They feel great, the "carbon fibre effect" is not a suck on cover, but (waxed?) woven nylon. The overall effect is that they are light, robust, quality cases that work wonderfully as stands.HOWEVER...sadly, there is a design fault on this case. To parrot the reviews on Amazon.com (as opposed to .uk where there is no reviews at the time of writing) they simply got their dimensions slightly off. I was hoping that the negative reviews were just a couple anomalies, and that when mine arrived I would find it to be like all previous generations. But it's not. Simply put, the case doesn't stay closed. The "fastening clasp" does not close or hook tightly onto the iPad. I'm not a someone that needs a water tight seal, but am someone that expects the case to stay closed if, say, I turn the case upside down. It does not. The danger with this being that if you were to drop it, then you would half expect it to open up before it hits the ground. I really hope that Marblue address this and, over the coming months, release a case with the correct dimensions of the iPad Air.To conclude, I like the case so much, and do think that it is (potentially) the best on the market. In a year I'll try again and if they haven't sorted out the problem I'll do what I did this time...send it back to Amazon for a full refund.

Ich habe die Hülle erst seit Ende Februar und stelle jetzt schon fest, daß die Qualität zu wünschen übrig lässt. And den Stellen, wo der Deckel auf das iPad geklickt wird, löst sich die Innenverkleidung ab. Das darf meiner Meinung nach nicht sein.Bloß nicht kaufen!
