Should have had one of these for years
Works great and makes the job easier. Simple tool and smooth operation. Glad to have it part of my collection. Metals seem strong after 8 brake jobs. Paint still intact on metal and no wear noticed.

Inexpensive but works like a champ
Why did I wait 35 years to buy one of these??!! I’ve been using a simple C-clamp to compress brake calipers for decades. This was so much easier and more convenient. Would definitely buy again (30 years ago).

Decent tool for the job.
Seems to be well made and was a fair price. I am sure it will work fine.

Super simple
For years I have always used a C-clamp angling it just so to push back the caliper piston. I have seen similar tools with lots of different size discs. I have also seen people use large channel locks. Well these work on the same principle as a c-clamp except the tool lines up in-line with the piston axis. Just line up the disc with some or all the surface of the caliper piston and position the back plate along the curve of the opposite side of the calipers and slowly just turn the threads. Its that simple. I should have done this a long time ago. C-clamps are always at an angle and there is some finagling to get a good position to squeeze against. These push against the intended surfaces of the caliper as it was designed, right where the pads normally resist against. This is a no-brainer purchase.
