These are classical stories. There are plenty of stories I have never seen before, but they were interesting, and i would recommend reading them. This was a wonderful read. I loved the pictures at the beginning of each fable.

What a lovely book, sure to please all the kids in the house! The illustrations are wonderful and the stories are timeless. I began reading these in the evening to all my kids (ages 3, 5, and 6), and incredibly, they all love them! makes bedtime a lot easier!

Disappointed that it’s all in black and white

I really enjoyed "Aesop's Fables for Children" with Milo Winter's illustrations. It's full of many of the classic stories we've all heard. The book also contains good pictures, bringing the tales to life. I wish the pictures had some color, but it's still a great book for kids and grown-ups. It's definitely a keeper for story time and teaching some good lessons.

I completely forgot how wonderful fables are! This book is a wonderful edition of Aesop's which you're likely already familiar with, but there were one or two I didn't know, like Belling the Cat, with one of my favorite "morals of the story" for armchair quarterbacks.Recommended reading just for an adult who wants something happy before bed, or to read to your children.

Never thought that some Aesop's fables are still in use these days! Nice collection to be read to children and grandchildren.
