Very handy & works well
This tablesaw works well and seems pretty well thought out. Seems to work well, but I'm a hobbiest, so it isn't used hard. It stores away easily and I like how the rip fence adjusts. The riving knife was slightly misaligned and doing the realignment isn't over-explained in the user manual. Just need to remember that this is a portable saw and not a huge shop model that has a massive table that you see on the woodworking shows. Space is my issue, so this is my solution. I'm happy with it considering the constraints.

I Love This Saw!
I have been using an older Craftsman workshop table saw with a cast iron top for years. It was a good but bulky saw that was not portable. This little DeWalt, is portable and makes accurate cuts. The fence is easily adjustable and locks in place for use.The stand if very sturdy and holds the saw in place during use. I made one modification: Instead of bolting the saw to the stand, I use 1/4" quick connect clips. These allow for quick setup/takedown of the saw and stand.I believe this saw is now discontinued and I bought it for a very good price. An excellent value for the money.

Very happy with this table saw!
I've built a few cabinets and done some light-weight home accessorizing with this tool and it performed precisely and made the jobs easy. Despite its solid feel and handling, it's pretty portable for a table saw. I have to lug it from the basement to the driveway (or cover my laundry room in MDF powder). The folding stand is a must for portability. My only recommendation for Dewalt is that the tool bolts to the folding stand, where clips of some kind would make it much easier to move around.

Good accurate saw.
Great saw. Very accurate so far. I took off the safety features because they get in the way of small cuts. Just be careful. Overall, happy with this table saw (could not have finished the kitchen remodel without it). My first table saw and am wondering now why I waited so long. . . Oh, I'm in hawaii and shipping was expensive but thank you Amazon. We live off you here in Hawaii. PS: get a good blade for whatever you intended purpose it. We did a lot of fine finish cuts so got a blade to meed these requirements. The blades are expensive, but well worth it.

A great tool with a few caveats
Find a different stand if you're over 6ft tall.Component construction is generally good but the plastic cladding doesn't seem like it will last long and the floppy push stick feels dangerous. Directions for removing the helper attachment used to hold down sheets from the accessory storage are non-existent.I still really like this saw. I especially like the guard and sheet keeper tools. The snap-on feature on the guard and the thoughtful storage make it convenient enough that the safety features actually get used. The stand is compact and quick to setup. The guide rail adjustment and measurement system works pretty flawlessly.

I was Skeptical, but Now I'm a Believer
I never thought I'd say this...but Dewalt makes a REALLY good piece of equipment. I always tried other brands like Craftsman, Ryobi, Skilsaw, just because the price point with Dewalt was higher and I always needed to replace the ones I got. I just did my first cut with this table saw, and I now know why Dewalt enthusiasts love the brand. It's solidly built, the crank feels solid (the gears will take getting used to for me) replacing the blade is pretty smooth, just a lot of little touches that set it apart and I'm glad I spent the extra money this time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go look at planers. :)

DeWalt makes a really nice portable table saw
The DeWalt DW745 table saw is light weight (for a table saw) and has plenty of power to cut through 7/8" plywood all day. The safety features are pretty good for a portable table saw, which is an inherently dangerous power tool by its very nature. The addition of a little car wax to the table and guides will help keep the wood from binding as you push it across the table. The portable stand is light weight, easy to use, and store. The saw dust exit at the back of the saw easily connects to my shop-vac. With the addition of a shop-vac, the amount of saw dust mess after the job is pretty minimal.
