Good Stuff
I have been using this product for 8 months now and it is very effective against psoriasis. I have psoriasis on my scalp, and on my hands. My Dr has Ok'd me to use it 2 to 5 times a week (depending on condition). I first shampoo with Equate Medicated Shampoo (Wal-Mart, less than $4.00) 2.5% coal tar, rinse and then use the PsoriaTrax (5% coal tar). I massage it in well using my palms and finger pads (not fingernails), and let it sit for at least 10 minutes before rinsing. Since I have started this regimen everything has disappeared from my hands (unexpected bonus), and my scalp fluctuates between completely gone and mostly gone. I have noticed a sensitivity to sunlight; I now sunburn very easily on my face (I can put up with that). This works quite well for me, hope it works for you.

Best shampoo for psoriasis !!
I have been using MG-217 for the last 3 years for my scalp-ears psoriasis. It worked good for me, because I have coal tar at 3% and that was the highest % on the market and it is the ONLY thing that really will help with psoriasis. So this new shampoo Psoriatrax comes with a 5% coal tar, the results are outstanding, espectacular l, the best! I recommend this product 100%.This is an honest review from an adult that have suffered from psoriasis all my life.

Still has enough of the real ingredients to be effective
Nothing is as effective as genuine coal tar, and it has been safely used in my family for generations. While other products are now using artificial substitutes or have reduced the amount of coal tar until it is almost non-existent, this brand still has a full 5% genuine coal tar. We only use it when we have a flair up, and it relieves our scalp itching and flaking and restores our scalps to normal healthy skin. The rest of the time, we can use regular shampoo.

Effective ...and expensive!
The smell is joyous. Its real, its solid, and honest. It seems to act as a pheromone for attracting the opposite sex which could be a good thing ....depending. Its surely far better than the sugary perfumes commonly used in cheap shampoos. It also works pretty well as a scalp treatment. In fact, I can feel it working within a half minute, although I leave it on for about five minutes. I like every thing about this product except the price. ...Its expensive, ..which doesn't add up, because coal tar is pretty cheap, and the other ingredients are common in cheaper shampoos.

Ruined! New packaging hides changed formula
This used to be the single best coal tar product available. It was a very clean shampoo that smelled of nothing more than coal tar. Between orders, the formula has changed, The new product, in the opaque white bottles, has a heavy, sickening fragrance. Seriously. The perfume they've used would embarrass a cheap whore. And the fragrance does not wash out with a subsequent washing with an unscented shampoo. It is heavy, and clingy, and follows you around all day. So, if you don't mind smelling like you wash with Dollar Store Dish Detergent, this is the shampoo for you! Really sorry to see what was a great product now ruined.

Works but dried out my scalp.
The product worked and controlled my scalp condition but at the same time dried out my scalp to the point that it was tight and itchy all the time with major dandruff or dry skin flakes. If you have a severe scalp condition like I do then it will fix the problem no question. But you must use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner as well. Alternate every second or third night. That fixed the problem with me. I recommend the product but be sure to moisturize your scalp too and you will have no problems.

Outstanding Results
I've suffered from psoriatic arthritis for quite a few years. One of the symptoms with which I dealt is the constant flaking in my hair and beard. For years, if I always had flakes all over my clothes, I avoided wearing dark colors to minimize the visibility of the flakes. If I ran my hands through my beard or hair it almost seemed like it would be snowing. I've tried numerous products and even some medications given to me by my dermatologist. I tried some a national brand coal tar ointment and it seemed to offer some relief for the psoriatic patches on my skin so I began looking for other products. I found this shampoo and Elta Tar ointment (also available on Amazon but shop around...a 16oz tub will cost anywhere from $30-$60).All I can say is this stuff works. It is truly amazing. It may be expensive but it is worth the price. I noticed a difference in a matter of days and after using it for a couple of months not I don't notice any flaking on my scalp or under my bear at all. I can again wear dark colors without the embarassment of being covered by flakes. Thanks for a great product! I highly recommend it...I'd recommend purchasing the three pack as it saves you a little if it is a product you re going to continue to use.

Miracle product
If you have psoriasis, you must try this product. PsoriaTrax completely eliminates psoriasis flaking on my scalp. I've tried other coal tar shampoos, such as Neutrogena, but they don't work. PsoriaTrax works (5% coal tar is critical; less concentrated formulas don't work).Years ago, there was another 5% coal tar shampoo on the market called PenTrax. It worked equally well but was discontinued. I've been looking for a similar product ever since and was so glad to find this product. I first purchased one bottle to try it out and after a couple of weeks of use, my scalp psoriasis completely went away. I've sinced purchased several more bottles. I will be a customer for life.
