I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this little 2TB Bad Boy. It's super-fast and just works. Depending on your use, you may get different results. First, don't pay any attention to the speed specs of any stick or SSD drives. They all base their exaggerated speed claims on best-case scenarios. That being said, I use mine for storage and playing movie files on my Samsung Smart TV as I no longer use disc drives. It plays a full 2-hour to 3-hour movie without getting very hot and without a hiccup. When transferring movie files to it, I regularly got 200 to 300 MB/s write transfer speed (my Samsung T-5 and T-7 SSD drives write at 30 to 35 GB/s). If I transferred 200 to 500 GB at a time, it would get very hot by the time it wrote 150 GB's or so. If I blew air on it while it was writing, it cooled down considerably. And after a hundred GB or so and hot temp, it would slow down to around 80MB/s speed for a while but pick back up in speed, especially if I blew air on it to cool it down. So, I would recommend transferring about 100GB at a time instead of half a TB at a time. But either way will work fine. Don't let the hot temp bother you. It's designed to operate at the extreme temp. My Patriot 500GB and 1-TB sticks gets super-hot as well and they have never failed me. So, this is not abnormal. I also love the USB "C" connection it has on one end. Now I can finally make use of my "C" connection on my laptop and keep the other 2 USB-3 ports open. I use this Transcend stick to play movie files and my Samsung 2TB T-7 as the backup SSD drive for my movie files. But the Samsung SSD movie file transfer speed is only about 35 GB/s while this Transcend stick writes movie files at 200 to 300GB/s. So, I'm definitely going to get another one of these Transcend 2TB sticks. The hot temps and occasional slow-downs are really not a big deal when you consider the small size, convenience and extreme speed of this stick. And the end caps fit on snug. No issue there. If you've been thinking about this little gem, just get it. You'll be glad and impressed.

Exactly what I was looking for. Small compact drive that I can easily plug into my iPhone 15 and move media back and forth to my laptop. It does get a bit hot but the transfer speed is pretty amazing for what you get.The caps are “directional” so if you keep them aligned, they don’t seem to fall off.Plus the drive is. Light so you don’t have to be too concerned about the saggy when you plug into your laptop.

I purchased this after another DJ on a forum recommended it. I am very wary of these types of devices simply because I use them in a DJ environment and if you have a bad one, it can be a bad time when you are trying to perform. I purchased it based on that other recommendation but had my usual Samsung as a back up. the speed as advertised very fast. The great thing about this particular flash drive is the fact that it has both USB. You can plug it into your MacBook Pro with the USB, eject it then plug it into your favorite CDJ without having to use a dongle.

Very good drive, great speed. My only issue is that if you plug into the USB C port on a MacBook the buffer area around the USB C plug on the flash drive is too wide to allow anything else to fit into the other USB C port on the MacBook. In other words if the end of the flash drive was a bit skinnier it would be a much better product. I still kept it however because it's the smallest fastest most portable 2G I could find.

this flash have a really fast copy speed! I'm using it in my router as a network shared storage and works very well

This is exactly what you need for transferring large files to and from another computer in essentially no time.Overall - I'm going to give it 5 stars as it works as intended.BUT - I would like to point out that the cap ends are not attached to the device. Making it very easy to misplace them. Not to mention, the device itself is pretty small and there's no keychain loop on it to make it easy to attach to something bigger. I highly recommend they do this so that we don't eventually lose this drive. It's the size of a small 5 pack of gum. Very easy to lose if you're not careful.Take good care of this device and it''ll do what you need it to.

Used Validrive to validate the full drive capacity and it passed. Drive appears to operate properly and quickly, although it does get hot. Time will tell if the drive works properly long-term. Will update the review if and when it fails.

I have tried many Portable Popular SSD Devices..I Always Wanted An SSD As Small As Possible Like A Pendrive And Boom ..This One Made My Dream Come true...I bought The 256GB Variant But I also Thought About Risks ..yeah It does Overheat A Lot But Never Lagged Or Dropped performance and Got Into Normal Temp Quickly As Well But Makes Sure To Do Process Like Copy Paste One at A Time As It's Somuch Portable....I wonder we shouldn't Push them so hard But It's so fast Trust me...I didn't expect...You can Use it Without any hassle For both pc and mobile as If for a Usb c type port and 3.2 gen 1 I believe...So I am going for 1 tb version Now before it gets overpriced

I bought this to use as a Time Machine backup for my Mac. I was looking for a traditional small-brick-sized external solution but then I discovered this and I just had to have it.I easily partitioned and formatted it as required, and the blazing fast read/write speed meant my backup was completed in less time than it took to make and drink a cup of coffee. Stayed cool the whole time.Plus I can’t believe how small it is for 512GB! It feels great in the hand, and the end caps (be careful you don’t lose those) fit snugly with no danger of falling off.
