The media could not be loaded. Idk how xmondo is treating everyone else’s hair, but it’s been changing my life over here. Afrolatina, full but fine, small spiral hair strands, bleached recently to a level 7 blond so I could have some of the blue show in the blue black. I did a split dye with Adore on one side and Xmondo on the other. The way I was GAGGED by how full, soft, and curly the Xmondo side was! GAGGED. I’ve been using the Bumble & Bumble Bond Building line for years now, and it works to fix up my bleaching blunders, but not like this! Neverrrr like this. My hair didn’t even look this good *before* the bleaching. The photo was taken right after washing out XMonda on the left and Adore Emerald x Green Apple on the right. Clearly you can see the difference in body.I have a severe allergy to PPD or resorcinol in permanent and Demi black hair dyes, and I looooove a blue black moment. This is the first semi-permanent dye that’s not playing about that blue sheen! Prior to this, my hair was my natural level 4 ash brown with Arctic Fox Transylvania on top. The smell is fantastic and very beautiful, so unless you have some crazy allergies, the smell is perfect (to me). It smells high-end, and produces high-end results. If this is how Brad is doin’ the girls out here, you can bet that I’ll be buying more Xmondo. (My Xmondo Forcefield Heat Shield just came in today, too! Lol)

I’m a natural ginger complete with ginger frizz. I was looking for something that would tone down my natural brightness and calm the frizz, I use olaplex and a blower brush for my day to day routine, I usually have to choose between conditioning treatment or color. This is a game changer, it is kinda messy, that is expected for a deposit only color, but it smells great. It calmed down my obnoxious ginger and toned it down to a richer more balanced (actually looks more natural than natural) color while maintaining my hairs health. One jar will easily last me 3 treatments and that is a deal for me.

This review is specifically for the 5N /dark brown colorScent - same scent as other xmondo products. To me it is very jasmine perfume. I personally don’t care for the scent but some people love it. I can deal with it but could be a negative if you are sensitive to fragrance. Or it could be a huge plus if you love the scentPackaging - solid quality feel packaging. Nice wide opening allows you to easily access the product whether using a brush or hands. No need for color bowls.Value - I’d say this heavily depends on your hair. Short hair will probably get 3-5 uses. I have shoulder length hair and looks like I’ll get 2-3 uses. Longer hair may get one use or need 2 for really long hair.Feel - thick consistency. Nice that it’s not runny. You have good control over it. Like a thick conditioning maskCaution this WILL stain on contact. Make sure you are careful to cover the area you are working in and wear gloves. I have a dark tile shower but I would not be surprised if this would stain a white tub. I would def say have the bleach ready to go to clean up immediately.Color - obviously this will vary by person but here’s my experience. I have naturally dark hair (level 4). I also have some grey and bleached highlights. I have been trying to transition to a lower maintenance hair routine in the last 2 years and mainly using semi permanent color (professionally done). I’m not a stranger to dark hair. I’ve had level 3 color in the past (which for most people is essentially black). I am not a hairdresser but imo this is not a level 5 color as the name would imply. To me, getting my hair colored for 20 years on my base, this is a 3/4. It is very very dark, almost black. I’d strongly suggest doing a test strand if going too dark is a concern for you. There are a lot of green undertones so you will not have any warmth.Would I recommend? No. Do the test strand. For myself, I feel like I need something softer at this point. This color feels a bit harsh on me but it may be exactly what you’re looking for.Update - I tried the 5G color. Mistake! This has such heavy red tones that I look like red was my intended color. Extremely disappointed and will not be trying any more of these colors. I actually went to sally beauty to see if they had anything to help the heavy red brassy tones. Thankfully it’s semi permanent so I’ll be trying clarifying shampoo and blue shampoo to hopefully quickly reduce the unwanted color. Honestly the reaction when I told the lady I had used this said it all. Not recommended

Okay, WORKED GREAT. But I will say, I didn’t follow the instructions. I left it on for only 5min and I did it on dirty hair. Afterwards I did shampoo conditioner and a raw hair mask from Walgreens lol. When washing out, BEWARE and make sure you wear gloves bc this stuff stains a bit but as long as you don’t let it sit, it’ll come off, I rinsed my hair a bunch (5 times) and the water was still coming out red. I barely even used 1/4 the container so idk how people are saying it’s only 2-3 uses. I have medium length hair. I didn’t intend to go super red I just wanted a touch but the pictures speak louder than words. It’s beautiful!

This is the happy moment of shiny, saturated hair that feels silky soft even a of couple washes after applying XMondo Color Gloss! Picture is 1 week later after applying. Super easy to do. Be sure to use gloves and an old towel as instructed, I had to use a Mr. Clean sponge on the fiberglass shower area. It came clean though. This treatment smells good and leaves silky hair as a result. Covers grey gently, looks natural!

I genuinely think this product is good, my hair felt soft and looked really shiny; however, it turned my colored chestnut brown hair to black… like level 2. I had to use a color remover because it just made me look sickly bc of how pale I am. Overall the product works well for the gloss treatment and I will get the gloss treatment again, I just don’t recommend getting one with pigment if you’re working with previously dyed hair.
