As my first set of proper strippers, these are a breath of fresh air, certainly better than pliers/teeth/Stanley knives.They deal well with ribbon and multi-conductor cables, allowing multiple conductors to be stripped at once. Outer sleeves of multi-conductors, not so well, I still need to carefully apply a knife for those.As some have mentioned the 'depth' setting could be fiddly, but I have long nails, definitely some redesign is in order there to make the adjuster grip project outside the jaws. If needed the wire can just be placed on top of the depth gauge if you need more length of strands exposed.The there is also a cable cutter in the handle that will take up-to 10mm cables at a push and saves me carrying separate cutters.High density plastic and metal construction seems robust enough, with good finishing, no sharp edges. Obviously, time will tell how they last.

I needed a new wire stripping tool and saw something similar to this item being used in a YouTube video.The way they work appealed to the gadget fan in me and having tried them out I was pleased to see they work well, cleanly stripping the insulation from wires with a minimum of fuss.If I had one gripe, it would be that the built-in measurement gauge is not particularly accurate and a little too stiff to adjust easily, that said I prefer to judge the amount of insulation to strip by eye so this isn't a deal breaker for me. Also considering the price when compared to similar 'pro' grade tools this is something that could be expected.Professional electricians might prefer to look elsewhere but for hobbyists and general DIY use these will do the job very well.

Unlike other strippers you don't need to get to both sides of the wire. Excellent where you can't use wire cutters as you may cut wire due to difficult location or lack of experience

I bought this with misgivings as some reviews were not by professionals. It is however perfect for low voltage fine wires - well made and a breeze to use. It got more use today than many people could put it to in a lifetime and did a good job every time. I bought it as my heavy duty electricians stripper could not do fine wires. I would not use it for bigger area cables say 2.5mm2 or more. Indispensable for data, telephone and intercom work - and at a great price as a bonus.

Good product - only downside was the cutting blades were quite blunt. Very easily strips wires through!

These wire strippers are well built have in handle wire cutter and a smooth action. Wired up some led strips and pixels so we're well tested and has adjustable cutting size and length used constantly over 4 days and never faltered and are still going strong best ones I've had for a while.
