Used for 5.1 surround set up. Worked perfectly.
Before this, I tried another brand. Their 5.1 Rear Out is showing as Side speakers. Could not switch it to Rear. But this one worked for me perfectly. Got it set up on my NUC/home TV PC. Good audio. No complain.

Works perfect so far on Win 11 and Bazzite Linux
Works perfect on my ASUS ROG Ally X setup that dual boots Bazzite Linux and Windows 11.I have this connected to a JSAUX dock that I then connect my ASUS system to. I didn’t have to do anything extraordinary to get it to work on my custom dual boot setup so if you have a standard windows 11 setup or a SteamDeck system/OS you should be good. I didn’t even have to manually download or install software. It just worked when I went through settings and let each OS identify and pull down what they needed.I have this going to a Logitech 5.1 sound system and it works perfectly after multiple rounds of testing and gaming. On games like Batman Arkham City, Doom, and many others it’s really helpful to hear what’s coming from the side or sneaking up behind you. This is so easy to use and install you don’t need any crazy skills or experience. It was pretty much plug and play, and adjust a few settings for my system.

Worked perfectly with Windows 11 - 24H2
Purchased this as my new motherboard did not have 5.1 surround sound. Worked great with my Windows 11 build and I now have 5.1 Surround sound. There were no drivers that I had to install. It was pure Plug and Play. As a reminder, Windows 11 defaults to Stereo for new sound devices. Make sure you go into "CONTROL PANEL" => "SOUND" in Windows to configure your device speakers (Stereo -default-, quadraphonic, surround, 5.1 surround (side surround speakers), 5.1 Surround (rear surround speakers), 7.1 Surround). I have no problems recommending this USB Sound Card for anyone needing to up their audio game.

Great quality for the price
The build quality was surprisingly high for $30. It's solid, has rubber grips on the bottom, and looks rather nice! The 7.1 surround sound is a game changer across the board, watching videos, playing fps, playing casual games, and music are all enhanced!

It just doesn't work.
I ordered this thing. I tried for 8 hours. To try to get it to work. My situation's probably different than most of yours. I was trying to connect an old Pioneer amplifier with my Bose speakers. To my. Laptop. I can run directly from the. Amplifier. 2 the laptop. And it works fine. But but I wanted. A USB. To do that job. So I. Selected this device. But Windows does not acknowledge. That it even exists. So. I have waited too long. To send it back. So I'll just have to suck it up.

Excellent build, great audio, setup takes some effort
This is a well-made, high-quality external sound card. The aluminum body feels solid and durable, and once configured, the sound quality is excellent. I'm using it with a PC and a Logitech X-530 5.1 surround sound system, and it drives the speakers beautifully with clean, immersive audio. However, it wasn’t exactly plug-and-play. Windows didn’t auto-detect the 5.1 setup correctly, so I had to manually configure the channels through the sound settings. The included documentation wasn’t much help—definitely geared more toward advanced users. That said, once it’s set up, it works flawlessly and is a great upgrade over onboard audio. If you're comfortable digging into settings, this sound card delivers great performance at a fair price.

Plug and Play!
Reading about problems with operating systems and drivers as well as experiencing a problem with computer speakers. Even name brand. I was reverting to headphones while longing for my 5 channel base and decent room speakers.Reviews were good suggesting no downloading.Woo, woo. Arrived today. Small package which includes HDMI cable with HDMI c adapter. It was touch and go initially til I figured I'd not made secure connections. Per previous discussion. When connected , my good old sound system blasted out the moves on my chessboard.I have an Optiflex 7010 Dell.I' finally a happy camper!
