SoundMAGIC Earphones with Microphone Red (ES18S Red)

Don't know why so many bad reviews particularly with this model (with microphone). These are one of the best Under $30 Earbuds. I have tried a lot of them as I lost this one once, but again had to buy the same because it's really worth it. Some might find the volume level a bit low, but I'm alright with it.

Good enough earphones but the maximum life is around 3 months. I have been buying soundmagic earphones for over a year now and each time I have to replace them after 2-3 months.

Worst headphones I ever bought. Bad quality( both sound and material)Never going to purchase anything from Sound Magic. Even I plan to return it, the seller would deduct $7 from the price which is again worse.So you have the only option to keep it yourself and listen to horrible sound

Great earbuds and great customer service.I bought two pairs of these. One pair lasted months of daily use by a teenager. The second pair was defective right out of the box, and we were past the Amazon return period. I emailed the company and got a same-day response with a promise of a replacement pair.

This earbuds are so low..not even loud, they just have low volume level...not worth the money i spent on..or maybe i got replicas instead of the originals.

Cheap, but after only 2 weeks the right side doesn't work anymore, seems like there is a bad contact so when moving it doesn't always work...

After reading so many good reviews from the fellow reviewers I bought these to try myself and here is what I found.Soundmagic is a well-known name in the budget friendly acoustic product segment and ES18s is one of the most popular earphone from their product range.ES18s is the successor of ES18 and maybe that’s why they have added an “s” to it. ES18 was a great success in the budget range and to make it more user friendly some features has been added. The major updates which the new model got are an inbuilt mic and support to the older devices.But did Soundmagic really made it a pro? Let’s get into the details.--------------------------------------------Design & Hardware--------------------------------------------The design of these IEMs is almost the same as ES18 which is quite trendy and cool looking. Although the casing of IEMs are made of plastic instead of metal but still they are quite sturdy and can handle even a rough use nicely.Talking of the new additions, a microphone and a single button remote has been included that can be spotted below the left ear monitor. Sadly it don’t have volume buttons but the single button is multi-functional which can be used to play/pause, pick/end calls and to skip tracks too.Coming down we can spot another addition which is a compatibility switch. There are two compatibility modes A and B, A is for new models and B for old devices like Nokia and Samsung Corby. At the cable’s end there’s an L shaped 3.5mm plug with a good protection that prevents cuts. It also includes two sets of large and small size ear buds apart from the medium one’s that comes attached.Now the flaws, the cable is tangle prone and there’s no shirt clip. So you will face some difficulty while handling it.---------------------------------Sound Performance--------------------------------- These earphones produces a well-balanced and crystal clear sound. These are definitely not bass heads but produces enough bass to serve the purpose. The supplied ear tips provides a good noise isolation and thus adds more impact and depth to the sound. Let's get the negitives out of the way first. The build isn't mind-blowing but if your earphones have great build quality at this price point then be prepared to get bad sound quality. The mic isn't the best but the voice recorded through is loud and clear and I think that's good enough. The best part of these earphones is the sound quality and it happens to be the most important one according to me. The bass is not over powering the mids and highs. The sound is fairly balanced and soundstage is very good for an in-ear earphone thanks to the 10mm drivers which is bigger then the drivers in Sennheiser cx180, which is more expensive and doesn't have a mic, just for prospective. This also the same drivers found in the more expensive Sound magic e10c. It doesn't mention it on the package but at 70% volume won't be able to hear the person sitting next to you in a park, what I mean to say is it has very good sound isolation. And the last this is the comfort. The most comfortable earphone I have ever used I would like the rate the comfort to the likes of Bose quite Comforts. If you are confused between buying the CX 180's and this then my genuine suggestion would be to go for this one and save some money. You won't be disappointed. Also be ready to spend more because as is the cause with cheap earphones they don't last more that 5 months neither did mine

I am writing this review after 10 days of usage & this is my second purchase of a Sound Magic Headphone.The SoundMagic ES18S in-ear headphone has excellent clarity and strong bass performance with a dynamic and refined sound.Pros :1. I didn't find any much difference in the Soundmagic ES18S & Soundmagic E10C.(Frequency range: 15Hz-22KHz & Frequency Response: 18Hz – 22000Hz)2. The remote in this headphones is the damn good innovation bcoz it will help the user alott to change the sound mode even after changing the handset.3. Very attractive combination Red & Black color.4. Perfectly fits into your ears & very lightweight.5. Enjoy your all day music/movies.6. Clean highs and good noise isolation provide ultimate experience.7. In-built Mic which you can use for your calls and controlling your music & Yes! the wire clip helps alot to have a crystal clear conversation on call while you're driving car/bike.8. Call quality of this Mic is superb!!!9. Very Lenghty Wire (Cable Length: 1.2m (3.5ft)10 Bass, Treble and Vocals are really great in this headphone.11. Look is damn Awesome.12. This is purely based on what I have experienced. I recently purchased this on 20th June and have been using it daily.The sound quality was not too bad for an average earphone (you pay what you get).However, the downside was it's durability.3 days ago, the left ear piece broke. The earphone was placed in my bagpack with textbooks whilst walking to the library. Cause of the broken earpiece? the textbook must have coincided with it and generated enough pressure to break it apart. The earbud came out and the silver circle piece was out of its position. I'm still seeking for a exchange as its still under the warranty. I have already contacted the owner. Let's give it a few day for them to response and I will update this post again.
