OTTERBOX DEFENDER SERIES Case for iPhone SE (1st gen - 2016) and iPhone 5/5s - Retail Packaging - PAPAYA (WHITE/PEONY PINK)

This is my third otter case since 2013 and i've had it for a few months. The first one got run over by a car with the phone in it on the day it was purchased-- and protected the phone and didn't break. It lasted three more years and I got a new one. Eventually they all seem to wear out in the same place-- where the flap at the bottom lets the cord in for charging and up at the top near the on off opening. My phone does not have a fingerprint reader so i don't know how Otter cases work with that feature. I do know that they seem to hold up really well despite constant use and my phone has been fully protected.

I like the sense of security the Otterbox gives - I'm not a 'pink' person but the color makes it easier to find in the bottom of a bag and less easy to forget when left on a countertop etc. It's easy to open the flaps for the charger, headphones etc, although the thin bit along the bottom by the charger slot is stretching a bit and looks a bit loose (as it does on a friend's). As other reviewers have noted the main drawback is that the clear plastic front has to have a hole in it for the thumb sensor and that lets dust (and dog hairs) in. As I expected this I made sure I had another screen protector on before I put the Otterbox on the phone, so although it doesn't always look great I know it isn't doing any harm, and I can always clean it out every so often. Even with the equivalent of two screen protectors on I've never had trouble with the touch screen working.

This case is great. I absolutely love it. I just got the Iphone 5s and was concerned about the case not fitting it correctly but it fits like a glove. I love that I can still take pictures without a flap to lift like the Griffin case. The only flap I have to lift is when charging which is pretty simple. I actually don't use the clip but I think in the summer when I am outside walking I might use it to listen to my music. The case is nice and grippy feeling. I can set my phone on my dash and it doesn't even slide. Plus, when I am on the phone for a long time(which is quite often I hate to admit) my hand does not get sweaty and slippery. I recommend this case for anyone who is worried about damage to their phone and wants a good looking case at the same time.

I bought this Otterbox Defender for my new iPhone 5s in November. Within a week I noticed that the cover shows dirt and appears very dingy looking. It does not wipe clean. Next, I started noticing that dirt and moisture get trapped under the screen protector from the open area where you place your fingerprint. Now I've noticed that the back of the case is chipped and broken off at the area on the over the camera. I am extremely disappointed. I have had a Lifeproof case with my 4s and only bought the Otterbox because Lifeproof did not have any color but black at the time. I will not make that mistake again.

We find the Otterbox defender to be a great product. I had heard that some have issues plugging in to the data/charging port. After tying several brands of cables we still have no idea what these folks are complaining about. The iPhone 6 is quite thin and can bend easily. The defender solves that problem. The only issue that some might have is activating the power on button. It can sometimes require some effort. We just applied some thumb to it and it works fine as well.

I had an OtterBox on my old iPhone and loved the protection and quality. I knew that I wanted one for my new iPhone and was thrilled to see that this Defender Series is more attractive and sleeker. With this one, I can actually slide my phone into my pocket--which was impossible with the rubber on the previous one. This cover also comes with a belt clip holster and has held the phone securely so far. I highly recommend OtterBox cases.

OtterBox was such a nice color when I got it. About 2-3 weeks after I started using it, the corners turned black,and there is no way to clean it and get it off. I look after my phone and it shouldn't have turned this color, butI am disappointed in what it looks like. It looks dirty. :(

Fake! Not a real Otter Box!

As described, went with free shipping and arrived two days before the expected date, do pay for express, you will get this a day or two later and not pay for shipping. Fits perfectly, not a knockoff. Highly recommend buying this product from this vendor.

The Otter Defender was everything I expected & was $20.00 less from Amazon then in the stores. It protects my phone well & keeps it clean. My husband &I both got one & we would buy them again. Thanks Amazon
