I ordered these with the intention to use them on my 12v project I've been working on where I wanted to crimp some heat shrink ends on some wire. Unfortunately, I realized when they arrived that they were not intended for insulated connectors.This set of crimpers are clearly marked and advertised as SN-58B crimpers, I totally missed that prior to ordering. I was actually looking for a set of SN-02C crimpers. This set is designed to crimp non-insulated wire connectors. It crimps connectors from about 23AWG up to 16AWG connectors. Once I realized my mistake, I went into my electronics box looking for some non-insulated ends. These worked perfectly. The crimping makes a nice strong crimp and seals the wire ends as one would expect. The crimping action was smooth and felt strong. The release worked as expected and these are actually adjustable if the default setting isn't to your liking. I actually have several non-insulated ends that I could use, but I always hated having to manually crimp them. This was actually a blessing in disguise.That being said, I am still in need of the SN-02Cs, and I see this brand has a pair of those as well. Do to how well these performed, the other set is now in my cart ready for my next group purchase.I have chosen to rate this product 5 stars. Overall these performed exactly as advertised. They are easy to use and the heads are replaceable if you just want to buy different crimp heads. I would recommend these to anybody who needs to crimp some non-insulated wire connectors.Criteria for Stars:1 - Total rip off, doesn't perform basic advertised functions or not product advertised. I would likely RETURN and would NEVER recommend.2 - Not worth the money. Performs some of the basic advertised functions, but likely not all, and ultimately was deemed as not providing enough value for the money spent. I would not buy again, and would likely not recommend unless the buyer had a very specific use case.3 - It performs the basic functions as advertised, and has some usefulness at the price point, but doesn't work for all of the reasons I purchased. I would likely not buy again, and would only recommend if buyer understood usefulness limitations.4 - It performs most all of the features I purchased it for, but has limitations. I would likely buy again and would recommend.5 - Completely as advertised and likely exceeded expectations. Is if high quality and well shipped. I would totally buy again and recommend.

Excellent Crimper at a Price That's Hard to BeatI recently needed to terminate a couple of temperature sensors with JST connectors, and these made crimping the teeny tiny connector pins a breeze—all at a price that made this (for me) seldom used tool very worthwhile.

These are best crimping pliers I have ever used. They’re good quality, are comfortable in your hand and easy to use. Unlike other pliers I’ve used they grip and crimp the connectors properly. I’m happy with these and I’d recommend them.

Recently I had a set of lights to install, and they needed to be connected to the battery of my mower. I needed to crimp the wires to battery connectors. It was difficult to get the connection tight enough. This is an excellent and effective tool. This tool has a ratcheting mechanism that allows you to make the crimp very tight even if your hands are not very strong. The crimping tool has different gauge sizes in its teeth that allows you to crimp different gauge wires to different connectors. This is an excellent tool. I recommend this tool even if you don't do a lot of wiring projects.

Nice Ratcheting action, fits SMALL wire sizes. it's a little generous when it says it fits AWG16 size. I find I have to go one size up in the crip slots to get it to fit.
