This bar looks well constructed, strong, worth it, I am not sure if the Z curve/angle is enough to exercise the biceps, specifically different for the straight bar. The thread to secure the weights is not very practical because is too long, but I resolved it using dumbbells to warmth up and make only one change of the plates of my maximum weight with the bar. Also they are not exactly one inch, is less than one inch. In case you have plates less than an inch it will work good.

You can get a substantial workout in with this thing i promise. The thickness of the bar is perfect for small hands. It's great quality all around. Just make sure you order plates that have a small enough hole to not slide theoifh the whole bar bc this bar is pretty thin

Overall it does the job. Its an inexpensive EZ Curl Bar. I have 2 criticisms. First, my forearms don't twist like they did 40 years ago. I last used an EZ bar as a teenager. I remember EZ bars fitting the natural angle of my wrists. I am sure this is a me issue and there is nothing wrong with the design of the bar. But I would spend more money for an EZ Bar with greater angles between the sections if I were to get another one. Second, the steel plates I use fit other bars well. This EZ Bar is much looser. I would estimate the diameter to be an eighth of an inch smaller than the industry standard. This does not affect the functionality of the bar. It can carry the rated weight. It is very sturdy. But the plates will wiggle.If you want to keep your spend low, this is a fine EZ Curl Bar for the price.
