Very useful for tying fishing rigs - or similar craft close work etc. Light works well and suits me fineUpdate, I do find the small higher magnification circular area a bit of a nuisance for what I want as it does tend to get in the way. If I were choosing again, I would look for a similar unit I would make sure it had just the one uniform magnifying area.

great product - easy to use with good results. One issue is that the actual lens could be a bit bigger to be able to see more of the work, and the neck cord can feel a bit too short sometimes, particularly working on bigger pieces.

No instructions supplied as to how and where batteries to be inserted although fairly obvious where they go but not so obvious as to gaining access to battery compartment without possibly breaking something. Pull out stand very stiff and feels as if will break at the furthest point where it locks into position. However once acquainted with the above points it is a very nice magnifying glass (or plastic) and the LED's do a good job for my modelling purposes with the neck strap supplied or on its stand. Good for the money.

Serves it's purpose, but base of cheap plastic which could easily crack. No instructions where or how to insert batteries so it took several attempts to install.Light sufficient.Delivery prompt.

The magnification is ideal for close up work whilst doing my stitching cards or cross stitch patterns. The illumination is an added bonus. I don't use the cord to place magnifier around my neck to use hands free but it's there if I needed to.

I am currently working on a cross stitch which has far too many light coloured half stitches on 18ct aida. I was struggling to see the stitches and chart in the evening despite having a lamp and wearing reading glasses. I thought I would try this magnifier and I am very pleased to say that it has exceeded my expectations. Quite frankly it is brilliant and very good value for money too.

Very easy to use and lightweight. The led lights work well too. It’s perfect to help me with cross stitch projects and being able to see symbols clearly on charts.

I bought this item as a last resort at getting something to help my eyesight when doing cross stitch. I had previously bought one of the clip on a stand/table which was absolutely hopeless, too stiff & distorted the vision within the sight field. This one is a dream!!! I was very hesitant about the purchase as a lot of the reviews complained about the finding the battery compartment. No problems! Although I have to state I do not use the integral light as I work with a separate light. Giving it merit as a magnifier - I can’t fault it.
