I have not been brave enough to use it around Mr Winkly; following what I have read in other reviews, I have another previous version, which I trust for that. However, this unit has been working perfectly for trimming my beard and for trimming around my ears and neck when I occasionally get a haircut. I have not been nipped yet, but I am gentle and careful; maybe one day, if the older unit stops working, I may trust it for more intimate engagement.

The trimmer works great, happy with this purchase. Only issue is the guard is scratchy though it doesn’t cut your skin.

Someone on TikTok mentioned this brand for nick free shaving and I’m glad they did. You won’t be silky smooth but you will have very close shave and best of all no more ingrown hairs!

Bought in Feb. I got the charging dock version. Looks nice, but that’s the only good point.The guard is minimally adjustable: limited choice of hair length. It’s very hard on the skin: pulls and the guard is not a smooth glide.Not that easy to use: it’s big and pretty heavy.Worst part is it’s now full of water and obviously no longer works. When I looked, the case is slightly open all around the seam at the dock port end. Either the seal just came apart or maybe it got dropped. No customer service: you’re directed to troubleshoot it yourself.There’s no innovation here, it’s just a standard trimmer. Note it’s not a shaver: you’ll always have stubble after using.Ditching it and going back to a more mainstream brand with more tools, options and better build quality.

I loved the first version of this trimmer. I liked the idea of the upgrades here. However, having a 4 in 1 guard seemed great it's too tight, difficult to move around, and harder to clean. A flashlight is a cute idea, but the way it was implemented is a little goofy. It also doesn't charge on any of my other USB C cables. If I had use with the charging dock or didn't need a 6 guard, I would be fine with the rest. Instead I'm returning this and buying the previous model.

Edit: Meridian has refunded my money. They appear to be a trustworthy company, but that doesn’t change my opinion on the product. It’s good to know you can try it worry free.I’ve owned it for a few months now and have used it once or twice a week since owning it. It’s in the garbage now because I’m frustrated with it not cutting and/or pulling my beard hair out. The trimmer does everything right except for the core reason you buy a trimmer - trimming hair. More details below.The positives:Waterproof - I had this thing in the shower until I gave up on it and it never stopped functioning.Battery life - I only charged it once and used it numerous times. Held a charge for a couple months.Easy to use - just a single button and three presses take you through all the modes: on, on w/ light and off.The bad:This is really bad considering this is the reason you buy a trimmer. It never really trimmed any type of hair well at all. It would either push my hair out of the way, resulting in an uneven cut or easily get overwhelmed and start pulling my hair. The hair on my body is very fine and it had trouble catching the hair and cutting it. My facial hair is more coarse and it couldn’t cut it. It would yank and pull my beard hair constantly. I’ve tried shave butter, wetting my hair, dry hair, slowing down, trying less hair in more passes, starting with the guard on long and slowly getting shorter… doesn’t matter. The result was always disappointing (and painful) every time. I tried a bit of trimmer oil on the blades, thinking maybe friction between the blades was the issue, but it wasn’t. It’s either not sharp or it just plain doesn’t work. If I try to use it to edge up my beard without the guard on, it would barely cut.The guard - absolutely worthless. There’s 4 settings and I can barely tell the difference at all between the lowest and highest levels. It always cut about the same length no matter what.I’m going back to my old trimmer that works, until the waterproof version arrives.

I've been looking to replace my Wahl Peanut trimmer for years and nothing ever got close to being able to but this trimmer has so far been doing well. Being able to use in the shower is an extremely nice feature. I'm not a frequent trimmer so when I do use it, it has to trim a lot and it does the job pretty well. Battery seems to hold a decent charge. So far I haven't nicked myself, so I guess the safety is doing its job. Comfortable to hold for a decent amount of time. For the price, it's nice.
