CRAFT MATES Lockables Organizer Case, Black

I purchased this just before going on vacation knowing I would be crafting while away. First impression when I opened the box was that I thought it would be a bit larger. Turns out it was just fine. The locking containers for beads are great but I wish that some of the containers would have had some larger compartments as I use many sizes of beads for wire and bead crochet.The outside flap compartment was perfect for crochet hooks and scissors. The inside 3 compartments I used for needle nose pliers and crimping tool. These compartments are a bit hard to get those tools out of. The bead containers all stack nicely and I used the space between the containers and the top to store a large zip lock bag with 8-10 rolls of jewelry wire.To give an idea of capacity, I made 30 pieces of jewelry on my trip; bracelets, necklaces and earrings.Overall it is a great and compact way to carry and store a lot of stuff. I would recommend this product.

I have several Craft Mate Lockables and this is great as a take along to my beading classes. The boxes inside are perfect for separating my gold, copper, silver, sterling, and antique gold findings and small beads. I learned the hard way not to put any of my tools in the small pockets as they do not come out very easily and can poke the fabric. I really wished this came in other colors or patterns.I would have preferred the lavender carry case to match my other cases but understand it is discontinued. I get it mixed up with my photography cases. My husband, however is eyeing this to put his small nails, bulbs, batteries etc. for our camper, so will probably get one for him for Christmas.

I love the way the bins inside work- there is no chance for accidental spillage and you only open one section at a time! The only reason I did not give it a five star rating is I would have liked to have it in a bigger size and none is available. Most crafters would need more storage. That being said, I do like it so well I ordered two more. They will hold seven storage containers, but they come with six- another thing I would change. I saw where others said they would hold eight, but I tried a number of ways, and I could only ever fit seven. This case is a very handy way to organize beads.

I had purchased a larger version of this bag about 5-6 years ago (13 x 11 x 5.5). I keep all the feet for my Bernina sewing machine in it plus bobbins and needles in the individual compartments. It has been perfect for that. Several of my friends wanted to get the bag as well so I ordered one to give as a gift. While the picture looks exactly the same as the one I have, the dimensions are smaller (10 x 9 x 5) so my sewing items do not fit. Consequently, I had to return it because it doesn't fit my needs. If any one knows where we can purchase the larger version, please let me know.

I will start by saying I bought this to carry my perler beads, I was pretty disappointed because the case is very girly and pretty small. The storage containers are nice but also small and a pain to get into. If you need a lot of beads than u will have to fill multiple containers. It's alright for what it is but could be a lot better.

I just love these Craft Mate Organizer cases. This is my fifth one. Inside the zipped case are 6 plastic bead organizer cases, each has 14 compartments. I store all of my beads in these cases. I have them sorted by colors and have attached a plastic luggage tag on the outside of each case to help me identify the contents. Each compartment snaps shut individually and can only be opened by the spring hinged press button on the side, so there is no chance of spillage. The cases are easy to transport if taking them to a class or on vacation. The carrying case has a removable strap. Since space is an issue in my studio/extra bedroom, I keep them stored under my work table. They are out of site but easy to access when needed. I can't say that I utilize the velcro pocket on the outside or the 3 velcro pockets on the inside of the case but you could use them to store some of your pliers, stringing or other jewelry making supplies for transport. The case can accommodate 2 extra bead organizer cases sold individually. Highly recommend this Case

Great product. Really liking this organizer for my Pathfinder and D&D miniatures figurers. Fits most plastic tabletop miniature figures such as Pathfinders and D&D miniatures to Ral Partha pewter miniatures. I know its used for many other uses, craft and such, but for the purpose of carrying and transporting some of my tabletop miniature figures to and from hobby stores, game stores and gamers, its very useful. Granted NOT all miniatures will fit, but a lot will fit, you just have to find which ones will and go from there. It does come with six 9-inch by 4-3/8-inch by 1-inch Lockables plastic organizers: each with fourteen compartments (each compartments are about 1 1/4in wide x 1 5/8in long, large enough for some Pathfinder and D&D miniatures figurers). Inside the organizer bag, has 3 separate pouches each with Velcro tabs, each pouch are about 3in wide by 7in long. So you can carry dry erase pens or pencils or whatever else you want for tabletop games or conventions, or anything else.

I do like it,but its smaller then I though it would be,not that I wanted a big storage tote.I put some of my beads in the compartments and some chains,and findings.the lockable holders for the beads are small so I had to use two compartments for one color beads due to a lot of same color of one kind of bead.maybe ill buy the bigger compartment lockables when I have a little extra cash. over all it is a nice strage tote if you make jewelry.

This product is so useful for storing seed beads, findings and all other tiny things. The security catch on the boxes included ensure the lids don't randomly pop open and spill the contents, which I have found a not uncommon occurrence with somewhat inferior products. The six boxes(ezylock 2XL with 14 compartments) included can be bought separately and retail for £4.99 in a well known chain of hobby stores. So for the case and 6 boxes to be just under £31 and free delivery included from Supermart USA, it seems a bit of a no-brainer. Some say it can take two more of the boxes;I can get a seventh box in with ease but an eighth makes it a tight fit, and almost impossible to take out a box in the middle of the pile, because of how they sit on each other. Even though it came from across the pond it took well under 2 weeks to arrive and was really well packed. I am considering a second for my ever growing seed bead collection.

This is a nice compact storage case,The zip is not the best quality and I don't think it's going to last the test of time. The compartments are good for storing only small items such as beads and it only comes with 6 trays although there is space for 8. For the price I paid I expected there to be complete storage so for these reasons I have given it only 4 stars.

Was a little disappointed with the size. The cases could have had differing size compartments instead of being all the same. Overpriced for what it is and the zip is not the best..

This is a nice compact storage system, perfect for my jewellery-making kit i.e. beads and pliers. Secure compartments so nothing spills out. Could do with a few boxes with bigger compartments for storing wire and larger beads but very satisfied overall.

I bought this to start organizing all my fly-tying materials for fishing. What made me buy this over any other options was that all the compartments seal and lock individually. When you're dealing with thousands of tiny hooks and beads, the little locking compartments are perfect. Because it seals, I can also make my fly-tying station portable without any worry of everything spilling and mixing together. The compartments are also the perfect size to fit one spool of thread in each.I'm not sure why the other reviewer would rate it low because of shipping damages. Amazon usually covers that if you rpeort it. Mine arrived in perfect condition.
