Bought this shoe rack because we lack space in our house and I needed something that's vertical, sturdy and small enough to fit in a smaller space. This looked perfect in the picture. I don't know why the shelf space is deceiving and looked so much bigger when, in truth, there's about 6 and 3/4 of an inch ( a quarter inch shy of 7 inches) per shelf space. When they say narrow, they actually meant it. The rack took a little less than a foot wide (11.8 inches wide) and a little over 53 inches tall.The assembly was easy enough and the instructions are straight forward. Everything was neatly labeled. I have taken everything out first to make sure all the parts are there and started the assembly. It took me about 45 minutes and that's mostly my fault because I can't seem to line up the holes of the shelves. Took my daughter's help to finally line them all up. She says I'm blind because she didn't seem to have any trouble at all with it. I would suggest not to tighten the shelves all the way because I had a hard time adjusting when working on the next shelves up because the bottom is tight and there's no give to see the alignment of the next shelves. The finished product looks smaller than pictured. I have tall boots and if tried to put it in the rack, I would need to remove at least two of the shelves in order to accommodate them and I would only be able to put 6 pairs of shoes. I suppose I could put it on the top shelf but without the stabilizer in place, it may not stay upright.Overall, the shoe rack is sturdy enough and would stand on its own without having to screw it in the wall or using the stabilizer (included in the package).

This shoe rack is very nice at a bargain price point.The assembly is easy if you have a drill. It would take a little while by hand. Overall very nice.Fits most shoes and is very sturdy.

Get an electric drill before starting the assembly on this. It's all allen wrench, and takes a while. Lots of pieces, but it's straightforward and fairly easy to do. The unit takes up a very small footprint in the room and is surprisingly sturdy, although anything this tall and narrow can be iffy. The width of the shelves works best for women's shoes. Boots and typical sized men's shoes won't fit on the shelves.

Its sturdy and looks good. It holds all my casual shoes. Easy to assemble. Heavy enough to stay in place.

It’s very low profile way to store shoes. Very strong not like flimsy plastic ones I’ve seen and purchased. It was packaged well and thoughtfully. All parts packaged together and clearly labeled which was very helpful when assembling. Not hard to assemble but it does take time so don’t think a few minutes and done. Heavy to hold shoes but not so heavy you can’t lift and move to location you want. Thinking of ordering another

Great small space shoe rack. Stylish, very sturdy when attached to the wall. It will stand on its own, but if stuffed, may be unstable. Will fit one pair of large shoes per shelf, but can fit two or three pairs of flats, no problem. Assembly was not fun, but easy enough. Use a longer allen wrench or one with a handle to make screwing in the screws easier. I would buy again. Pleased with purchase.

needed something small to store some extra pairs of shoes and this is perfect. easy to set up, and it's great quality for the price. great size as well, doesn't take up much room

We have a small entry way so I needed something sturdy but tall that took up less space. The measurements on this don't include the distance of the shelves just the whole shelf so for reference they are 6 and a quarter inches. We live in Canada so you can see not many boots fit properly (timemberlands are bent) but I don't think that's what the product was intended for. I added mat pads to protect it from winter wear and rain because of how I use it. Overall I like it. It is well made and it looks nice. I think if you used it as advertised in a bedroom for indoor shoe storage it would make more sense for shoe height.
