Enjoyed this book very much! Review by Christine Justlovemybooks Romance Book Blog
5 Stars toCocky Cowboy (Cocker Brothers of Atlanta #3)by Faleena Hopkins.Jaxson and Rachel.......This was my first book by this author and I loved it! The Cocker Brothers of Atlanta Series is currently 12 books including a novella. I believe there is at least one more book to come. While I started this series with book three, a completely random decision, I had no trouble following along. The entire series is interconnected, however each can be read as a standalone.Jaxson and Rachel hadn't seen each other for twenty years, since her family moved from Georgia when they were ten years old. Before Rachel moved, she and Jaxson were best friends. They did everything together including getting into trouble. Actually it was Jaxson that always got Rachel into trouble, lol. Some of my favorite moments in this book were when Jaxson and Rachel had flashbacks to their childhood years. Even as a child Jaxson was arrogant, cocky and self-confident. Their relationship was adorable! The pull and connection they had as children was absolutely beautiful. When they saw each other for the first time as adults after twenty years of separation, the connection was still there. Still strong. And still unbinding. To say that it was inevitable they would get a happy ending is an understatement. However, the journey to HEA was tense, emotional, and angsty. There were some dark and shocking moments I did not see coming. This book was well-written.Since I obviously don't want to spoil any part of this book for you I will finish here by saying I absolutely loved this book, the characters and the heartwarming feelings I was left with after turning the last page. I can't wait to read more of these sexy brothers! This is my honest and unbiased review. It was a pleasure to read this book.

This was not as good as some of the author's other books.
Ok, I'm being SUPER-DUPER generous with 4 stars on this one, & I may change my mind later & drop a star. This is definitely one I won't re-read which is disappointing for me since I usually love this author's books. The flow was choppy (for a Faleena Hopkins book). The humor this author usually has, is way off in this book, to the point of being weird or insulting. I did not laugh once or even think anything was funny in this book. The characters were ok, not great, Jaxson really didn't inspire me to care about him & Rachel was to wimpy & indecisive. I haven't read all the books & definitely not in order, but this book didn't feel like it was plotted out as well as Cocky Roommate or Cocky Soldier (the two others I have read). There were some huge issues with the stuff in the plot that other reviewers have also pointed out (the way the miscarriage was written, was a very big one for me). There is no excuse for a writer to not be able to get facts on the internet now -to handle the miscarriage scene better in the book. I'm sure women who have had miscarriages would be insulted at the way it was handled in this book. The soul-mate connection when they were 8 was sweet, but the re-uniting sex scene just seemed weird to me, changing it to a lust connection instead of true love. I also couldn't get why Rachel would keep waffling over the relationship with the idiot Ryan, I felt that made her a weak character for a heroine. Then Jaxson's father's scandal, I could understand how that panned out in the book, something that happened over 30 years ago, the ramifications to both the families would be huge. Not that I condone cheating, either...

An Awesome Read!
I absolutely loved reading Cocky Cowboy (Cocker Brothers of Atlanta Book 3, all about Jaxson Cocker a cowboy/rancher who lives an hour outside of Atlanta and sells all types of organic products right from his farm & his childhood friend Rachel Sawyer who moved away when sine was ten years old. We had been best buds all our lives living down the street from one another, until one day she said we're moving the NYC because my dad got a job their! That was the day I asked her to marry me, and also the day I got my flirts kiss, and then she was gone. Until today when I saw her walking around the farmers market, with a very rude obnoxious man, which turned out to be her boyfriend Ryan. They are living in NYC together, he's a lawyer and he's rude and obnoxious. And he's not afraid to state his feelings about absolutely everything. I saw her across a very busy market, and I just called her name and she turned around and said Jaxson is that you! Wow Rachel I never thought I would ever see you again, that's when the man with her accused her of having a relationship with the ugly man named Jaxson. Jaxson being comfortable in his own skin just hauled off and punched the guy and he fell and blacked out. Read this story, their are many twists and turns through out the story, that will keep you, quickly turning the pages! Totally an Awesome Read just as book 1, 2 & now 3 was. I can't wait to read book 4!

4 Stars
Cocky Cowboy is a little different from the first two books of the series. This is Jaxson's story the oldest Cocker brother, he is quiet, loves his farm, the solitude of being away from big city life. Rachel was his best friend when they were eight years old and he has loved her for years. When he sees her again they are pulled together like two magnets. Their relationship is complex due to Rachel living in New York City, she has a boyfriend and a family secret comes to light that could tear everyone they love apart. When Rachel and her boyfriend Ryan take a "break" she will end up in Jaxson's bed. Talk about complicated and that's just the beginning. Hopkins will show us entire different side to the eldest Cocker brother and he is so hot, funny, sweet and of cocky he will melt your panties. I liked Rachel's character but she is no Drew or Luna. If you have read Cocky Roommate and Cocky Biker then you know who I am speaking about.I just felt this story dragged a little... But I still enjoyed the story. Cocky Cowboy will take you on an emotional ride . Happy Reading!!!

So good
Just a great book. Funny and a story that is rare. But I really loved this book, my favorite so far in this series. Faleena you are a hell off a writer. After this book I would buy every book without reading the summary.

Couldn't finish
I'm not sure why, but I just couldn't finish this book. I bought three of the series and think it's the worst and definitely my last

a trips down imagination road review
Title: Cocky CowboySeries: Cocker Brothers of Atlanta (#3)Author: Faleena HopkinsFrom: AmazonGenre: RomanceRelease Date: 11th September 2016Challenges: 2016 Read the Books You Buy, 2016 New Release Challenge, 2016 Prequel & Sequel Challenge (2 points)Links: Goodreads - AmazonSynopsis (from Goodreads): JAXSON: Can you really find your soulmate when you're only eight years old...only to lose her two years later and never know what happened ? No way. It can't be...Yes, it's her... Getting kissed long and slow by that city boy douche-bag is Rachel Sawyer, my best friend and secret love, back when I was just a boy. The only girl who could ever hold my interest past a minute. I want to punch that guy for touching her like that...and I just might. But I've got a ranch and live a quiet existence until I saw her. There's no way I can compete with her flashy New York City life.I don't care. If I don't steal Rachel away from that dick, I'll never have another chance. I won't lose her. Not to him. Not to New York. Not to anyone. Not again. RACHEL: As Ryan answers yet another work email, I spy a gorgeous man intently staring at me, emerald green eyes daring me to remember him. Oh my God it's him...my first kiss... The one who always got me into trouble is now trouble-incarnate. Jaxson Cocker. All grown up into the rugged and masculine drop-your-panties-at-the-door kind of sexy. But I love Ryan...so why the hell am I walking toward Jaxson like he's a magnet and I'm metal? We're no longer the innocent children we used to be. That chemistry we once had has ripened into something dangerous. I want him to touch me, but I shouldn't. I want him to kiss me, but I shouldn't. Just because Ryan said those horrible things...doesn't mean I have the right to do this. Does it?! Why is it some men have the power to make you do things you never dreamed you'd do? Do you follow your heart or your head?Cocky Cowboy is the third book in the Cocker Brothers of Atlanta series, but the romance between Jaxon and Rachel could easily be read as a standalone. Reading the previous two books in the series, Cocky Roomie and Cocky Biker, gives you a background for the family and some of the other characters but the events aren't relied upon in this book. This review is spoiler free.I'm not really too sure where I actually want to start with this review, mainly because the points I want to make are all bouncing around my head in a giddy way. I finished reading a quite heavy going book (Splinter the Silence, a crime/thriller) and wanted something that I knew would be romantic and easy going, and that's where one of Hopkins' books fit the bill, and especially with the next in the series coming out the same week (fyi it's been a few weeks between reading and my review posting on my blog) I figured that Cocky Cowboy was the way to go.The chemistry between Rachel and Jaxon was intense, not so much in the flashbacks to when they were children, they were just sweet, but as adults it was really something! But their relationship was so much more than that. The two of them talked to each other and had interests in common, but also there was an emotional support there despite their years apart. There was a definite twist in this book that I did not see coming. Even knowing how it would turn out (because this is a romance and there really only was one way it could without things turning a bit odd) it was still a shocking turn of events, and paired with the later heartbreak for Rachel, it really made the two of them work at their relationship.I loved Rachel and Jaxon's story. They were well suited to one another and that really came through!

Wow! Wow! Wow!
I'm seriously in love with the Cocker Brothers each & every one of them & I've only read, ahem devoured three of their stories, in a matter of days might I add! I can't even say "it just gets better" because each book is amazing in it's own right, it's like choosing which of your kids is your favourite!Jaxson is the oldest & least social of the Cocker Brothers, prefering his life on the land with his girls, his cows & chickens. He's the calmest of the brothers, who they all look up to. Not someone you would expect to punch a guy, not once, but twice!!Rachel was the girl next door, well two doors down. She was popular, but it was her love of books that caught 8 year old Jaxon Cocker's attention & sparked their friendship until her family moved away when they were 10.Seeing each other again some 20 odd years later will start a chain reaction of events that you will not see coming! But it will have you reading long into the night as you won't want to put it down!I absolutely loved this book.& would highly recommend it & the others in this series. Faleena Hopkins has some serious talent!

Well put together
I actually really enjoyed this book, the storyline was good and the characters developed very much better than I originally thought.I’d read some of the reviews and carried on regardless, some personalised criticism seemed OTT as far as the story was concerned & unwarranted to my mind, but then again, ‘history’ can reap benefits & changes going forward !
