Quick way to get hot water now if faucet is a mile from the water heater!
Purchased because it took forever to get hot water from the heater to the kitchen sink. Had to run nearly a gallon of water before it got warm. So, I hung this puppy under the sink, plugged it into a private outlet. Problem solved! By the time this unit runs out of hot water, warm water is entering from the main water heater plumbing. The ONLY issue is that the thermostat is very "loose". Meaning the delta-T (temperature swing) is a bit excessive. I set it for about 120ºF but the actual water temperature can vary from 98 to about 125. Funny thing is that if it sits for many hours, then draw water, the water is just luke warm, like shower temperature. Run a quart or more, shut water off, come back in 10 minuets and find the water hot and nearly steaming. Maybe it's blessing in disguise, meaning it relaxes when not being used to save energy, then when it sees use, kicks in to heat it up? Really takes only like 5 min to get decently hot if you don't crank on the water flow. But, ya, worth it anyway to have nearly instant almost hot water!

Does have a sacrificial anode
I replaced another brand under-sink water heater that had a five-year warranty but had tiny small print indicating that you need to check its sacrificial anode annually, and replace at least every two years. Based on what I read of the predecessor to this unit, the ES250, I had thought that the ES250B did not have a sacrificial anode. I was wrong. The new version, the ES250B, does have a sacrificial anode and the installation manual suggests checking it every six months to a year, as well as draining the unit and cleaning deposits from the heating element. (The frequency depends on the hardness of your water.) I had hoped for a less maintenance heater than the other brand I had so am disappointed that this unit does require frequent inspection. Nevertheless, I'm a handyman who can pull the unit out for maintenance. If I were have to pay a plumber to do so, the routine maintenance would be quite costly.I do love having instant hot water under our kitchen sink. When our old unit leaked, we got used to washing our hands in cold water rather than waiting for hot water from the main water heater in the basement.

Inexpensive and reliable
Is the first time having a tankless water heater.I do appreciate that as soon I use it to shower ,hot water came out. It is perfect for 2 people.I just love my water heater, it holds the hot water for at least 15 to 20 minute. Enough time for a shower.

Great product
Simple to install. Well made. Solved my problem of having to wait long periods of time for water to get hot because my regular water heater is so far from the kitchen.

Less than a min of hot water
Had the unit installed by a pro at our cabin, turned it on to test it, worked fine. Returned weeks later to use it, hot water lasts less than a minute and we can’t get it uninstalled fast enough for return so I’m stuck with this worthless water heater and it doesn’t sound like I’ll have anyway to return it at this point.

Poor customer service
Had a problem with thermostat and tried to get customer service help, they were not going to send a replacement thermostat with out photographic proof that it was bad, ended up ordering and paying for it my self, not sure I would recommend this seller
