I am always looking for unique braille items that are fun for my blind daughter. I bought this as a surprise birthday gift since she loves fidget toys. She absolutely loved the gift which has the Braille on one side and the print alphabet on the other. we can play a game, work on identifying the alphabet in braille, or just use it as a large fidget toy.

I have been a teacher of the visually impaired for 25 years, but raised a sighted son who is also now a teacher. Kids of all ages, and even adults love this thing. You can sometimes find this at Target, which is just wicked cool, because stuff with braille on the box is very common on store shelves in the UK. As someone who is blind, I wish more products included the principles of universal design so that everyone could learn from them and braille would become as natural as print. This is a toy that teaches braille. The product idea is great, but quality was disappointing. Raised symbols were not as easy to feel as I would have liked. The plastic is very thin. I would have happily paid several dollars more for a more durable, rubberlike plastic, somewhat larger size, and larger raised symbols.
