This is a very handy red dye spray that can be used to deter, and later help identify, criminals. In my youth I was mugged a couple of times and this would have been really useful back then. In the UK you're very limited to what you can carry to deter wrongdoers but this is completely UK legal. I haven't tested it yet, and hopefully I'll never need to use it, but it should squirt red dye up to 10 feet which is a decent distance. The dye stains skin and clothes for a few days which is great. Even though this might not deter someone who is already in the process of committing a crime it could give you a valuable few seconds to get away. The perpetrators will also be easily identifiable later if the Police pick them up.Overall I'm very happy with this. It gives you some peace of mind and is a good way to protect yourself (within the law).

Pepper sprays, or anything containing an irritant, are illegal for civilian use here in the UK. This product is a dye marker that smells unpleasant, and the idea is that if someone is attacking you, it gives you a chance of disorientating them for long enough to escape. The red stain is the same kind of thing used in cash boxes, and it's virtually impossible to remove. Your attacker will have a red head and clothes for the next two weeks, and be easy to pick out by eye witnesses, the police and CCTV.This is a small metal tube with a key chain attached to the bottom and a push button at the top, to activate the spray. The button has a safety catch feature where the button needs to be rotated before it can be pressed. You can easily do this one-handed. This is a good feature, because I wouldn't want the spray going off in my pocket! The spray range is 3 metres, giving you the chance to paint your assailant before they come dangerously close.This product a really good idea in my opinion, and more useful than carrying an audible rape alarm. It provides strong and lasting evidence of your attacker, for one thing. Hopefully I never have to use it in anger, but if I do I'll report back.

This product needs to be bigger than it is. It is discreet for small bag, however one needs access and not fiddling around in an emergency

I have had a few scary or dangerous situations walking home late at night.This is a small, legal safety paint spray that is meant to spray someone from 10 feet.It has a belt clip and clip as shown in the photo. This is great as I have attached to my keychain so will always have it with me.It's a small aerosol, not too bulky for everyday use.There is a safety on the spray so it doesn't go off in your bag or pocket. Shown in second photo.. You need to slide red plastic to the side to expose the aerosol nozzle. This is a bit easy to slide by accident when fumbling around in the pocket or bag and could be slightly more resistance to this feature.But well thought-out, useful product if needed at a good price for comparable items.Hope that helps!

This tiny little spray bottle gives the look and feel of 'mace' without the legal ramifications of it actually being that.For those who are ever unfortunately put into a position where they have to present it for us, the deep red capsule has one very easy mechanism for use; just slide the safety over and press the button. Whoever is on the business end will receive a tough stain and an unpleasant smell to go with it.Whilst not intended to be a complete mitigation, this is going to be a somewhat effective preventative measure against chance attackers.It's better to have something and not need it, than need something and never know if it would have helped.
